The first day of my last period was Sept 29. me and my husband have been trying to conceive for 4 months. I missed my period in October, instead of a period i had tan/brown spotting for 8 days. The spotting stopped for 2 weeks and then i started spotting brown again for 7 days, the brown spotting just stopped yesterday. three weeks ago i did a pregnancy blood test and my HCG level was 1.5 and that same day i also tested for std's and i was clear. i have an appointment with the doctor on monday. i did another preg test 3 days ago and it was neg. has anyone experience this?? any ideas what this could be?

This can be a very nerve racking time. I went through it seven times and have only one child. He is almost two now. Anyway, I believe the doctor might tell you what my doc told me. Because you are paying such close attention to your body right now you might be causing yourself undo stress. This affects everything. Another thing is that you notice things you wouldn't normally pay much attention to. My gyno told me that pregancies started too early or too late in cycles are very common, much more than what most women realize. Therefore they aren't timed right with what the body is ready for and can be passed with your next period with little notice if any. Also he told me that in the very early stages of pregancy the fertilized egg has to attach itself to the uterine wall which can cause a pinkish or brownish discharge. Try not to worry. If there is anything you can do your doctor will help you. Added stress could be your worse enemy. My problem was that I got pregant super easy, but they never lasted very long. The reason we found was that my progesterone levels would just begin dropping for no apparent reason. The doc gave me suppositories right away for my last pregnancy and now we have Chris. I have no fear of getting pregnant again. Physicians can do miraculous things! Keep your chin up!!!

Was the pregnancy test you took 3 days ago a home pregnancy test? They are not alwasy reliable. I thought the only way to have HCG levels show up was if you were pregnant. I'm not 100% though. However, I can tell you I am 9 weeks pg and have been spotting practically off and on the whole time. So just because you are spotting doesn't mean you are not pregnant.

Hope this helps some.

i would not trust the at home pregnancy tests they are CRAP compared to the BloodTests. Me i was 2 Weeks pregnant and came down with a bladder infection and went in and they were like Oh Your Pregnancy test is in conclusive so can we take some blood? there was just enough of the HCG in there to tell them i was pregnant. As For the Spotting If you were on Birthcontrol Prior to trying to start having a baby.. that might be why you are spotting.. you might not be regulated yet
