this question isnt intended to hurt anyone...but i am curious as to how many of u ladies have smoked (cigarettes, cigars, weed) or drank alcohol while pregnant. How did it make u guys feel(during & after) ? did the fathers agree or disagree? i am not a "smoker" but i do smoke black and milds every now and then...i had one the other day and figured that it shouldnt hurt my baby, as i dont do it very often. i also wanted to know if a very limited amount of alcohol was okay to consume while preggers. thanks for the insight!

or should I wait until next week to find out if I am pregnant or not? Would it harm the baby if I had a couple of glasses of red?

My daughter walked into my bedroom today after I got off work. I am a nurse and had to work late last night. She was talking to me on the bed, and I needed to change clothes but she would not leave. I rarely wear underwear and my daughter did not know that, and I was wearing my scrubs. I needed to change so I just stripped out of my scrubs, and changed into some jeans and a t-shirt. I thought I guess she is old enough to know now. Well she found out. She said "Mom, you are not wearing underwear". I told her, "I never do. It is more comfortable without them for me." It was a little embarrassing to say the least because it was also the first time she had seen me naked. When she was very young, I could walk around the house naked and did not have to be so cautious. Now it is just us girls around the house. She said that she might try going without underwear, too. I told her that it is her decision, and that she could try it. Am I wrong for letting this happen and being more open?

Hi, I'm on birthcontrol pill (seasonal -90 days cycles). I miss the pill on the 15th of Nov, and have unprotective sex with my husband on 16th of Nov. One week after the 16th, i start feel bloading, cramps on my lower abdomen, tender breast, headache, emotionals, mood swing, tired and sleepy than usual and nausea. I take the test today (24th of Nov) and its negative. I try to take my BBT for the last couple days (4days) and it's 98.8 to 99.0 degree. I don't know how soon after i feel the symptoms before i can take the test. Since i'm on 90 days cycle birthcontrol pill, Im not support to have period until the end of Dec. Am i pregnant? Is it too early for the test to detect HCG hormon? I'm already have two baby, one boy and one girl. All the symptoms i have now is just like when i'm pregnant with my son, but why the test is negative? Can i be pregnant because i miss one pill and have unprotective sex next day?

At 16 wks pregnant - I am starting to get a hard belly. However, it seems that the top of my belly (Above my belly button) is getting harder, and pushing out more. Below my belly button my "pooch" is also growing, but is a little softer and less pronounced. It feels as if my uterus is moving up and pushing all my insides up. (I cannot eat as much lately either). Has anyone else expirienced this during pregnancy?

my husband thinks that getting kicked in the balls by a girl is an experience most boys go though, and its just a learning experience. i don't know if i agree, but think our son is a bit too young psycologically to handle that sort of thing anyway. so my question is, at what age/ grade do you think its fair game for a boy to get kicked in the balls for harassing behavior?

also, at what age/ grade do you think the average boy gets kicked in the balls by a girl for the first time?

My 8 month old, yes an 8 month old was crying because she was overwhelmed by all of the people yesterday at thanksgiving and she was tired. My brother in law was telling her whinning is for wimps!!! I couldn't believe it, they don't have children, but they talk down to my 2 yr old who is very smart for his age and my 8 MONTH OLD!! I couldn't believe it! They are very rude, and My sister in law always looks to my brother in law for approval. Like when someone makes a funny comment or just a normal one, she looks at him and gives him this look like she is better than all of us. I talked to my mother in law and told her of this dilemmia in the past, and she told me if he does it more than talk to him about it, because I might hurt his feelings...HURT HIS FEELINGS? WHAT ABOUT OUR FEELINGS AND OUR CHILDRENS FEELINGS! My two yr old called my brother in law Uncle Matt instead of Uncle Eric and he said things likes you are such a mama's boy, a baby and my son started to cry. What to do?

I'm asking this question for a friend who is 4 weeks post C-Section. She is still bleeding very heavily and we're all worried. My wife has had 2 C-sections and never experienced anything like this. The patient talked to her doctor who is trying to convince her that this is normal, but I beg to differ.

Any C-section mommas out there that want to comment?

(Don't read if you have a queezy stomach)
She's filling a pad an hour and is noticing clotted blood the size of baseballs.

Is it best to have children when you are younger or older. Even though you are older and more mature and wise. When you are younger you are able to be there for your child. Also, you'll be able to do more things with your child. But if i were to wait until say...35. When my child hits their teen years (13) I am already 48. And I grew up with old parents so I know that you may not always want to disclose your parents actual ages because as humans we may have the tendacy to be embarrassed.

My son doesn't look like he has a tan, but very brown down there, is it something I should be worried about, my husband has it too?
