We did not co-sleep with my boys but we did with our daughter. There are many safe ways to do this and it does create a stronger bond. There are side sleepers that you can attach to the bed and also co-sleepers that go between the parents that protect baby from rollovers. Never drink alcohol or use drugs before going to bed with baby this has been shown to increase infant death. There is research that shows co-sleeping reduces the occurrence of SIDS (see below) It is very common around the world to co-sleep, least common in the US. Most parents who co-sleep don't talk about it because of the negative reactions, but I was very proud of how I raised my daughter and how well it worked out. It also is much easier if you nurse

That's what I've heard, they learn their sleep habits in the womb. I'm sticking to that story...my son slept through the night at 2.5 months, and still takes good naps and sleep through the night, Just like mom....LOVES to sleep.

no, the baby will be rocked to sleep while you are active and will be up at night once you are sleeping. If you don't work and this is your first baby, I would be lazy during the day and trying to relax, because once the baby comes it is going to be hectic.

No. Why should he. This little person is going to be on his sleep pattern, not yours. You are the adult/parent you adapt not him!
