Woah. What's the problem? Every second weekend I have to clean my room completely, top to bottom (dusting, vacuuming, scrubbing, etc). I have an en suite aswell so it's my job to keep it clean. My dad uses my en suite too and it gets pretty disgusting. I gotta do the mirrors, tiles, scrub the floor, tub, toilet, vacuum all the dust and crap off the floor.... so yeah. It's no big deal for me. I have a lot of freedom and priveliges anyway. It's much better in a clean room. If your room is constantly messy or dirty you probably need more storage space.

I think you just answered your own question.
It's true; having your parents force you to clean your room is a positive thing, regardless of how annoying it seems. It enables you to grow into a responsible adult and survive in the real world. I know it may seem cumbersome, but the long term effects are worth it; trust me. Your parents only want what's best for you, and it is better to grow up to be responsible than lazy.

One it's to teach responsibility and it is a fire hazarrad when it dirty. I know because i ended up with a broken ankle when I was 14 cuz my room was a mess and the house was on fire and well I tripped and broke my ankle after that my room stayed cleaned.

A child's room reflects their level of responsibility and respect. If you have a dirty room then that shows your parents that you don't respect all they do for you. Be appreciative, keep your room clean and they won't say anything to you.

Cleanliness is a sign of good character, responsibility, and a strong sense of self.
When you first enter someone's house and see how terribly dirty or disgusting it is, you'll know why your parents push it on you so much.
I've entered a few former friend's homes and was appalled at how they kept the place. It speaks a great deal of how they view themselves and their own little piece of this world. Not very highly.

My mom doesn't d that all the time; I'm going to spens the night at my freinds later and I didn't have to clean my room. I have to clean my room only if someone is coming, even if it is my brother's freinds and stuff. :(

some parents are neat freaks and have to have every room clean. they are also trying to teach you responsibility and getting you ready to live on your own. just know they are doing it for a reason even though it sucks......lol

As an adult, I struggle with keeping my life organized every day. An untidy workpalce hurts your career, an untidy home hurts your relationships. Being tidy is not just a matter of taste, it is a life skill.
