I would definitely go to another doctor! She might want to ask for a D&C.

If her blood clots are that large, especially at this point in time, she needs to go to the ER. I only passed golf ball sized clots the day of the birth, and small clots one week afterwards. By four weeks her flow should be lighter, like a light period and should not be filling a pad every hour.
Please, take her or convince her to go to the ER. This is not normal and can be fatal. Good luck.

My son is sixteen months now, so i'm unsure if i'm remembering properly, yet i think of I bled heavily for some week, and then had what I seen a mild flow for yet another week, observed via a week of recognizing. someplace in there, i finished thoroughly for approximately 4 days, and then began back up lower back. With a cesarean, the scientific expert surely suctions somewhat some it out till now last up, so there is way less fluid in there that needs to come back out. it rather is completely popular.

Filling a pad an hour is bad. That's a lot of blood. She should be heading to the emergency room if her doctor won't do anything about it.

The woman is hemorrhaging. She needs to go to the hospital emergency room. They'll likely send her up for an emergency D & C right away. Then when she's recovered, she can take her case to the local discliplinary board and file a formal complaint regarding her physican. Then when that is resolved, to a lawyer to demand compensation for the added expense she will have incurred, and maybe a few bucks for pain and suffering to boot.

I never had a c-section, but I did experience heavy blood flow and clumps coming out. It's normally, her body will change back to normal, tell her to take iron and vitamins, because she will be losing a lot of iron during flow

She needs to disregard what her doctor said and take her to the ER. It sounds like she is hemmoraging. That could be fatal if not taken care of. And if thats the case she needs to sue her doctor for malpratice because his advice could have killed her. I hope everything gets better for your friend.

If the doctor thinks it's fine, then it's fine. Everyone is different so just because your wife didn't go through that doesn't make it abnormal. Relax.

Every woman is made differenly...
If the doctor says its normal, he is most likely right...
Her body seems to taking longer to heal...
I know this because I went into surgery (same one as my cousin), she recovered in 3 days and I in 2 weeks...
results are same... just tell her to drink orange juice (will help heal faster), eat healthy... perhaps eat amoxicillin (kills bacteria) to heal faster... ask the doctor first
