He's 2 yrs old
I tell him we're going to so and so's house "NO, it's too late, it's getting dark" (it's like 12:00 in the after noon)
I say, Daddy's coming home soon! Yay! "NO, he's not!"
I say here's your pasta "NO, it's not pasta!"
I tell him you have to put on your shoes, we're leaving - "NO, we're not leaving"
or just plain old NO when I tell him to stop doing this or that. Even when I am nice and say it in a non-bossy way.

his reasoning is that because he( my son) forgot his coat on friday he should be punished.But it was about 37 degrees yesterday and my son had to ride on the bus for about 15 minutes and than when they get to school they wait outside for 20 to 25 minutes before they can go in their classrooms. When i picked up my son yesterday from the bus stop he told me how cold he had been and that even though he has a coat or two at his dads his dad wouldn't let him wear one (the coat in question i bought).I called his dad right away to tell him that he was wrong and he should not have done that needless to say he thinks that i am overacting and (as always) wrong. anybody got an opnion on this please let me know what you think.

My son is 16 and he already has his own computer-32 inch plasma tv-stereo-and alllllll the video systems including x box 360- I stood in line 15 hrs for that PLUS the new PS3 for Xmas this year- that was a 22 hr long wait but I got it! What do teen guys want this year more than anything else? He has a car so thats out too! HELP! What do u get a kid that already has everything? Every year he gets $200 in one dollar bills in a box. Thanks for any ideas u may have!

On Thanksgiving Day my husband & I will be announcing that we are adopting my 26 yr. old neices baby, the baby is due next August. She has three children now ages 11, 5, and 3. She cannot support any of these children on her own. Her mother is taking care of them for her. I am worried that the extended family will not be happy about this. I need advice on how to deal with family members who do not agree for one reason or the other. My husband and I have four children between us already ages 13, 11, 9, and 8 and we are excited to think of a new baby that we can raise together. We have no children together, the four we have are from previous marriages & we have both been fixed! We are totally equipt to raise another child. Financially, mentally, physically and emotionally. I think that the family is going to oppose on the grounds that there are two other family members that feel they are better candidates for adoptive parents.

Ok so here's the problem! So I was on bc pills for like 3 years then this past July I went off the pill. I still had my normal period that month. then in august I went back on then for like 4 days and stopped. I still got my normal period. but im september I didnt get a period untill october 14th. it was very heavy but normal. Now its the 21st of november and im still waiting for my period! is it still from the bc pills or could it be something else??? my spouse and I never really use protection. But i think if i was pregnant I would have alot of symptoms right? I mean my period was due this past nov 14th but the only thing that i got was brownish pink when i wiped for a couple of days and that was it! what is wrong with me? is it the pill or somthing else????

My 14 yr old, has not respect for me or his dad, all my other children are polite and say yes ma'm and everything. He complains and yells even if he is asked to pick up a sock off the floor. He lies about stuff all the time. I can see him do something and he will deny it. He is a straight A student and an all around good kid, with the exception of the arguing, rolling of the eyes, smart mouth and the fact that when he is told to stop talking or shut up, " I don't want to hear anymore" he keeps going. I do not know what to do, nothing has worked so far? He upsets me and makes me stressed and makes me cry on a daily basis.

I am fed up! it may sound rude but my 2 1/2 year old is not progressing w/ potty. It bothers me that she can use it, knows how to say pot, toilet, bathroom, boo boo& pee pee. last night right after getting off the potty into the tub, she boobood & peed in the tub!!! Whats fustrating is:
1)introduced potty at age 1

2)has a routine> uses 1st thing in morning, after eating,drinking

3)no drinks after 7pm

4)tried books on potty, tv on potty, eat on potty

5)go with her

) she will sit in a soaked/booboo pullup and not say anything until i make her go

6)reward her, throw potty parades( march around & clap when she uses it)

6)u name it, all advice from family since in our family she is "late"
what makes me upset is that i am expecting, she will be 3 soon, she speaks well and asks for food, juice etc. doesn't ask for potty. I know some say at this age give her time, but i need advice because I feel like i have tried so much, what else can i do when i feel this fustrated a

I don't really think I am pregnant, I haven't had a period since Sept. but before that the last period I had was in July. I had always been regular and have been taking birth control for years now with no problems. Well in Sept. I went to the doctor & she gave me negative results and told me that sometimes women just don't have a cycle for one reason or another that it was no big deal. Well the next week I started. But here I am again, same situation but back in Sept. I messed up on my pills and missed three in a row and on the third day I took three. I think I am having the same problem as the first time but I have been extra tired and nauseated lately so I just want to get a cheap test just to satisfy my mind. I heard the Dollar General has the test for a buck but I just wonder if they would be accurate and also should I take it first thing in the morning or anytime. Thanks for your help.

Could I be pregnant? Its been about 3 weeks since I have been sexually active. But I have started getting headaches, crankiness, heavy flow in peeing, and my breast nipples are changin shapes. I have been active in sex for awhile and I felt different after this last time. I have also been craving alot of different things mainly ice cream in cold weather???? I have never ever thought of being pregnant after my other times but for some reason I keep thinking I am this time. I am like 3 days later on my period too. Please help bloated also

Here are the details - my husband and I have been trying to have a baby for 5 years. We are young, healthy, no obvious problems to speak of. My doctor recently did some tests for PCOS and that isn't the problem. My doctor is not very helpful, though, and doesn't seem to care so much whether we have a baby.
Does anyone have any ideas on other things I can research to see if it may apply to us? I'll be seeing a new doctor in a few weeks but would like to have some more ideas of what may be wrong.

my son is 8 months old and hates tummy time. he will lay there and look around for a few minutes and then starts to scream and subsequently smacks his face into whatever he's laying on. because we have hardwood floors, i'm scared to put him down on our floor without a blanket, and he spends tummy time in a playpen. he's not even close to crawling and although my older son didn't crawl until about 11 months old, he enjoyed being on his stomach and scooting or just looking around and rolling by this age. any ideas or products you know of that help keep a fidgety 8 month old on the floor?

I am currently ten weeks pregnant and I will go in for my first ultrasound the end of this month. I am very concerned that I may be having twins. I am not sure if I am just reading too much into this, but by ten weeks I truly look pregnant and have already had to buy maternity clothes. I feel like I am very large for this time period and I was thin before pregnancy-but not super thin. Another thing that I have read about the possibility of twins is having your symptons on the severe side! Thankfully I have not had any sickness, but my downfall is sleepiness...and it is ridiculous! I sleep about 8-10 hours every night, I have to spend my lunch hour napping and then as soon as I get home from work I fall asleep again until about 8:00 pm. I am just wondering, anyone who has had twins, what were your symptons and at what stage did the ultrasound pick it up.

My 12 year old daughter was on a walk yesterday with grandma and her baby brother on the sidewalk across the street from the neighborhood park. They were walking our Labrador dog on a leash. Well, apparently an unleashed Shiba Inu that was romping in the park caught sight of our dog and dashed across the street to greet..well, the other dog was immediately run over and killed about twelve feet in front of my daughter, in her full sight. Even worse, the people driving didn't even stop. My daughter is a major dog fanatic anyway..but apparently she collapsed in tears to the ground and my mom couldn't move her for 20 minutes. She cried all evening when I came home from work and is inconsolable. I have never seen her this emotional. Now, this morning she looks like she is in shock..no eating, very pale..barely talking. I feel very bad for the doggy, but am extremely worried for my daughter..any advice? Anyone with a similar experience with tips to share? She has never been like this.
