Pregnancy & Parenting - 15 October 2006

I need to know how early you can start to have cramping that is pregnancy related. I'm not far along at all and am having it. There is light brown goo but i'm not bleeding. It's other stuff i've never seen before. I'm not real concerned because i'm pretty healthy. But, it would be good to know. I've been told at 3 weeks I shouldn't be having ANY cramping at all.

He's always been really good about bedtime (he's been sleeping through the night since he was 3 months) but for the past 2 weeks or so he just resists it. He gets a bath and a bottle and that used to be all it took. He forces his eyes open and and starts moving around a lot. So now I've added a bedtime story and rocking and humming to him. He still fights.
He even wants to jump out of my arms!
I can only figure that his crib is the safest place to contain him until he wears himself out.

My duaghter has gotten tested with the scratch test for some food that she has had a reaction to only in the diaper area though. She is allergic to milk, soy, eggs, and peanuts. I think all of these have gotten better and might not be allergic to some of these things anymore but am not sure. If there are allergic to something barley what can they have as a reaction to happen? Would it just be a rash still maybe in a diaper area or could it be a upset stomach? I am just trying to figure it out because i think i might try to introduce some of the stuff one at a time and see how she does but also want to know what to look for if she still is allergic. thanks

My parent's and I go round and round about whether she needs to wear underwear everyday. I don't discourage it, but sometimes she'll get dressed in a hurry and forget to put them on. Unless she's wearing a skirt or dress, I'm okay with her going commando once in a while. Is this really so horrific? Please tell me if I'm being negligent, or if my parent's are just old-fashioned. And is there an age limit within which I should start demanding she wear underwear everyday?

I am 5months preg. and I think i have A UTI. But I' not sure because I've never had one before...Details: Blood is in my urine not my vagina. it doesn't burn or smell.....i plan to make a Dr. appointment in the morning but want to know all I can now.. Has anyone out there had this while preg?If so and I do have a UTI will the Dr. give me antibiotics and are they at all harmful to my baby? that is my main concern. any other helpful facts are welcome. My baby is 7 months and hasn't started crawling yet. She hasn't even rolled over yet. Should I be worried? I place her on her belly for supervised play time but she hates it. Any other suggestions I can try to help her to start crawling?

I am 3 weeks pregnant and am having really really really bad cramping. My docor says that he thinks that i'm ok it's just my uterus and other things moving around and changing shape. It's like bad constipation but i'm not constipated. I realize that you cannot take a lot of things and especially later on in pregnancy. I'll take home remedy ideas, but if there are ANY pain meds out there for cramping... please please help me out. List them.

My 4 year old is being bullied at school and home by our neighbors son. We tried talking to the parents about it and all they did was blow up on us and start cursing my fiance out in front of my child. (which scared him half to death) We've even tried talking to the school about it and all the teacher says is that we need to teach him "empowering words". We have tried everything...even to the point of telling our son to push him back and tell him to STOP IT! That just makes th kid even more angry and his parents aren't doing anything to stop him. They just sat there and laughed the other day as their son and a nother child started punching my son. Only after I started to come near the kids did they get up and do something. Does anyone have any ideas on how to make this stop or what we can do to help our son?

The other day I blew up at my seventeen year old grandson when I found out he had a picture up on myspace that I didn't like. He was wearing clothes his father picked out. I told him to delete the picture, and in so many words, he asked me why. I told him because I didn't want to remember what a bad job my parenting skills were. He said that that was all his father's choice.

Maybe I should explain. A week ago he was kidnapped by his father, forced to have sex twice with his father's partner (a male), and tormented the whole five days he was missing.

Today, after he said that, I blew up. I shoved him so hard, he fell off the chair and into the keyboard. I told him that what I said went, and that he shouldn't have any opinons about it, like it or not. I told him that it was probably his fault he got kidnapped, too. After that he went to his room and I haven't seen him since (it's been two hours.) How do I say "I'm sorry?" I don't want to just say it because I know he won't believe me.

My husband has been taking this for years. We want to have a child, and that seems to be the inhibiting factor? I am furious because he didn't tell me it caused that much of a problem. Is it normal to have more frequent periods while breastfeeding? I had my baby in June. I als had a tubal at the time I had my baby. I am having a period that will last seven days then two weeks from the first day later starting another period. Is this normal? Anything I can do to stop it? Is it related to the tubal? Thanks for your help. I am just tired of having a period every other week.

My boyfriend and I have been together for two years and we are having unprotected sex I have a daughter he has no kids but I want another. When we have sex and he is finishing he takes it out but doesnt move away from the area. He lets it go all over my vaginal area... Is it possible that some may go back in if the area gets covered???
