Pregnancy & Parenting - 19 September 2006

I am going to start potty training him as soon as he turns two, i just have no clue when to start or what to do. I am going to purchase some books this weekend but I just thought everyone on here has been so helpful that I would ask you guys first.

My parents won't let me see him anymore since I told my mom I like this nice boy What should I do??!!?
Well once I had told my mom she other reacted when I told her the boy's name and where did we meet him! I know it not good to lie to your parents that big. But my family (sisters) want to go back again so bad I have to keep it low.But my parents did said we can go again but what if I see that boy who work's there!!! By the way he's 16 years old. My mom keep asking about him, But when I finelly told her she unstad me. But why don't they like this boy who didn't say anything nasty or dumb like. He was just to shy!!!! My mom say he is 2 nice and kind.But what do my mom mean when she said 2 nice and kind to me!!!??? Do he respect me or not ( like just a boyish kind of game they do with girls)???!!!

This will be my son's first Halloween, he's going to be almost nine months at the time. Do you think it's ridiculous of me to dress him in a costume and maybe trick or treat at the neighbor's houses we know--just for fun? My husband does--I was just wondering if it's just me or if first holidays are really that important?

I had a baby 3mo and 1 day ago...yay me! But I need help...is this just me? Does Breastfeeding reduce sx drive? I have no desire to have sx. I think about it and want to but my body is non responsive to any initiation. IS it the hormones? We tried recently and all I could think about were he better not touch my breast because those r hers. I try to get my mind to focus on him but its no use, Im just not easily turned on. It takes about 20 minutes of foreplay and I still dont really enjoy it. Is it just me or have others experienced this?

He's in Kindergarten and as far as I know he does well academically. But they have these color codes: GREEN is great YELLOW means he got in trouble once ORANGE means he got in trouble twice and RED means he's been very disruptive. He keeps coming home with REDS! The complaints are usually that he's not walking in line properly with the class. Or that he's having inappropriate physical contact or that he's just not listening. Of course that last one can have many facets to the behavior.

I talk to him every night about his behavior be it GREEN or RED so he gets the same amount of attention reguardless. When he gets a red he has all of his priveledges taken away and sits in his room for the entire evening playing with his toys and doing homework.

I'm lost and I don't know what to do as far as discipline scince this is not working.

this my second question today, i make exactly two weeks late on my period today and i took a pregnancy test 3 days ago in the morning and it was negative. my breast have been sore for the past three days. when my husband touches my boobs it feels like i have a bruise on my boobs. when i touch it, it dont hurt as much only when someone else touches it, it hurts. seems like my nipples hurt off and on. like this morning my nipples hurt and right now, not too much at all. certain parts of my boobs hurt like in the center around the nipple. during pregnancy, does your boobs hurt constantly or does it hurt more at times and at other times not so much? thanks

i've never missed my period or been late and i usually have a heavy flow, but this month i'm almost 2 weeks late and i'm just barely spotting, it's not enough to even wear a tampon or a pad.

I had an ultra sound done that said I was 7 weeks and 4 days pregnant when I first went to the doc (I am now 19 weeks and 3 days along). Is there any chance that this is wrong? If it were wrong, it would have to be off by 5 weeks. Would a pregnancy even show up on the ultrasound at 2 1/2 weeks after sex? Any info could help. Thanks guys.

I will be in night school on halloween, but this is the first year he will be going out in a costume. He will only be 17 months, but seeing as this is his first, and i want to be there, do you think it's worth it? I have PCOS and have been treated with Avandia for the past 3 years. I had no side effects from the Avandia, and after 4 months of that and Clomid for 2 cycles I sucessfully conceived. Now I'm trying for child #2, and my endocrinologist has decided to add Metformin to the mix, saying it should better my chances, along with the Avandia, to become pregnant. In the first 2 weeks on the Metformin I gained 10 lbs, and in the past 3 months I have gained a total of 17 lbs. Nothing in my life has changed, just the fact that I'm taking the Metformin. I asked my doc about it, and he says that he doesn't believe that it's the med causing weight gain, and that it's good for me so he wants me to continue. Anyone have a similar experience with this med? If so, what did you do about it. I don't want to hinder my efforts for becoming preg, but I also don't want to gain any more weight. I'm already overweight as it is.

My b/f is a cook and I heard that the heat will effect a mans sperm count..He stands in front a hot grill everyday up to 12 hours a day..can this really effect his sperm count...we have been together for 4.5 years and have never used any birth control...Is the heat why we havent conceived?

I am 21 years old and mom to a great son named eddie. I got married last year to a man i met in my parenting class who is 28 years old and has a 13 year old daughter named claire. My husbands daughter did not live with him when we first got married and even met she lived with her mom. But unfortunatley her mom was arrested for drug use and possesion with intent to sell i believe. Ever since she has lived with us and been nothing but a problem. My husband only really paid child support and saw her maybe once a month now he is in Iraq. I have tried to bond with her trying to do things with her but she just hates me. I tried contacting the prison to ask why her mom has not called and it is because the woman chooses not too!i wrote a letter to arrange meetings between my step daughter and her mom and she declined.How to tell my step daughter this?she thinks this is all me and my fault?

My girlfriend and I had sex recently and I appeared to have had a small discharge without even having an orgasm! It did not shoot or anything and I did pull it at about the same time or just before. Sp, given how the female's body work and her fertility on any day of the week/month etc, what would be her odds of getting pregnant given the situation (not sure of any cycles or whatever she was at) described above.
