i've never missed my period or been late and i usually have a heavy flow, but this month i'm almost 2 weeks late and i'm just barely spotting, it's not enough to even wear a tampon or a pad.

As one other person mentioned in their answer, this could be implantation bleeding. My period is usually very heavy and lasts between 5-7 days. In May I thought I got my period. I was spotting for several days and thought it was peculiar because I never just spot. It wasn't very heavy at all, not heavy enough to use a pad or a tampon, but I did use liners; just in case. I would suggest that you go and buy a test. I'm now pregnant and am expecting in February. Good luck.

It is possible. It could be implantation bleeding. Pregnancy symptoms vary from woman to woman... But if you are regular with a heavy flow then I would suggest taking a test.

Did you have unprotected sex? If not, then I would suggest waiting a week or so to see if your period does come. Stress and other factors can contribute to an irregular period.

You could be experiencing implantation bleeding. If your cycle is regular and all the sudden its out of whack I would suspect pregnancy. The spotting usually happens about 10-12 days after conception. Take a home pregnancy test, it should be positive by now and if it's negative then i would go to the gyn and get it checked out.

Women have been known to spot or even have a normal flow period and have found out they are pregnant. Any changes in your cycle that are abnormal should be followed up by a doctor.

If you are late then yes you could be pregnant.
If you are pregnant spotting could be a sign of trouble.

Get a pregnancy test.

Other things could be causing a late or spotty period though, like stress.

Yeah get a HPT, if this is something unusual for you. If negative result shows up blood test is more accurate.

See a doctor.
