She is totally bored of rice cereal and oatmeal, mixed it with fruit and all sorts. I stuck for ideas, she only has 2 teeth is is not ready for toast things as she chokes. When can they try things like yoghurt?

Do you "ground" them? Or whip them? Or any other sort of punishments?

And if you don't dicipline your children when they need it. You are neglecting the most important responsiblity of parenting. Don't you realize how greatly this will effect them?

I want a name that says how much of a blessing and a miracle she is to me. Like angel (can't use that one as her cousin already has it) but that doesn't come off as weird. Does anyone have any baby name suggestions? also what is everyone naming their babies?

I have been wearing panty liners through out most of my pregnancy due to the increase in discharge...this morning I changed my liner when I woke up...I just went to the bathroom and was changing it again and it all ripped apart from being so saturated..this is the first time it has happened to me...I took some of the pH strip stuff from the doctors office and I just rubbed it on the liner and it came back dark meaning positive. Could it be my water leaking? It's my first pregnancy so I am paranoid!! I am over 38 weeks along so I know it's ok to have the baby now if it is!

My granddaughter is just turning 5 in late September and started kindergarden last week. She is very, very bright but socially behind, very shy. She is totally bored at home (new baby and mom is suddenly busy with baby - think she also is feeling a little left out) and has not friends close by to play with. The first day did not go to bad but it has gone down hill from there. She is waking up crying during the night, begging her parents (my daughter) to please don't make her go, crying often during the day. My son-in-law and daughter are heart broken along with me and don't know what to do. Is this normal? How can we make it easier for her or should we have held her back a year. She has always been a home raised child so we felt this would be a very healthy thing for her. Please help - we are open to any and all suggestions from other parents. Thanks so much !

My two young men have left and now my 16 year old daughter will be leaving soon..Well I had an episode just recently...and of course my daughter was just away for the weekend..but i felt weird at home alone...I didnt know what to do with myself...I've always been so busy with the kids having all kinds of events and activities to attend..well that has decreased tremendously...I feel like I worry more when their not there with me...Does it get better or will it get worse...?

I am 6 weeks pregnant and have gained 11 pounds!!!! I plan to take the miscarriage pill and was wondering if it would be easy to lose this weight since my body won't be having the baby naturally. With my first pregnancy I breast fed and quickly lost my weight, i just wonder if this will be different since it will be an abortion.

My 4 and 6 year old have small chores around the house but most important is cleaning up after themselves (putting away toys), they are to put dirty dishes in the sink after eating, they MUST clean up their rooms. They don't have to vacuum, wash dishes, or lawn maintenance. I believe having chores shows responsibility but my parents say I am too hard on them. My children are extremely smart and as a result of their cleaning, they now have a routine and are much cleaner children. I see nothing wrong with this. As they get older, they will have even more chores to do and they will be rewarded for it. But I was given chores at the age of 5 and there is nothing wrong with me. Any ideas?

My son is 2 1/2 yrs old and im having a really hard time potty training him. I baught him the new Pull Up's Cool Alert's, and they dont seem to work on him cause he never lets me know when he has to go potty. I've also tried leaving him with boxer briefs to see if he lets me know if he has to use the bathroom but he never does. My parents suggested me to give him a small spanking and tell him that he needs to use the potty but that doesnt see to work either; all he does is repeat what i say but he doesnt do it so there's no point to it. Anyone have any ideas or tips on how to potty train a 2 yr old?

My friend just lost her baby 3 days ago. Her funeral is in 2 days. Would it be okay to give her a personalixed box frame to keep some of the baby's things? I think it might help her to know someone cares as well as to remember her baby.

My son, is currently dating a girl, which is 23, has 2 kids, and still living in the same house as her EX. { By the way, she dosent work}
He is letting her drive his car, He babysits the kids, she stays at his house the nights that he is off work, and goes "home" on the nights that my son works. My son and I have a pretty good relationship, and talk about anything. All our kids know how blunt I am, and know that I support them in the decisions they make, BUT
they also know that they will get my opinion, and its up to them what they do with it.{which I did give him} Being a kid once I know if I try to interfere it will only push them closer. WHAT TO DO????
