Pregnancy & Parenting - 2 September 2006

Not to sound strange or anything. I'd just like to hear what kind of discomforts and pains that other women feel and compare them to my own.
Tell me about any differences you notice as well (besides the egg white CM) Thanks !

I have a 9 month old baby boy. Up until about a 5 days ago he would sleep all through the night..basically from 7 at night until 6 or so in the morning. However the past few days he seems to hate being put to sleep and wakes up at least once a night as if he is fully awake and it takes at least 2 to 3 (or more) hours of crying to get him back to sleep. My wife and I try everything, we change him and feed him as soon as he wakes up, (normally if he woke up before the changing and the feeding would send him right back to sleep until morning)....but now after the feeding he stays awake and sort of wants to play but at the same time he looks exhausted and whines and cries alot. He cries if we carry him, if we put him down, if we play with him, or if we try to put him to sleep. I do plan on taking him to his doctor if this keeps up..but its Sat. night and his doctor won't be available until Tues. So any advice? any at all??????

i had unprotect after i 2 skipped last week and wanna become pregnant but continued to take the pills but i started to spot browish pink.am i pregnant, and should i stop the pills? to see if i get my 'period'! concerned!

I took an ANSWER BRAND pregnancy test actually like 4 of them on different days and they came out negative however, a few days later and they all were positive!! I feel like I am pregnant but I took those tests WELL before the 5day prior and was wondering if it may have just taken more time to develop? If anyone has any idea please let me know!

My husband and I are ttc and we have had sex 3 times in the last week which were day 12, 14, and 16 of my cycle. I also have been using lh surge detecting kits and I had my surge on day 14. The firts two times i laid down for 20 minutes and got up and leakked all over my undies. The 3rd time I laid for 20 minutes and got up and there was very little that leaked out. For the next hour or so I felt a little but not much. I asked my husband if he ejaculated and he swears he did. Where did it go and is it possible that my cervix was open and that is why there was a delay. So, I started looking online and that's the only thing I can come up with. Anyone have any ideas?

TWINS......I'm scared!!

I am 39 weeks pregnant with my second child. I had a sweep done on Thursday and was 4cm dialated. I also had anohter internal on Friday and I was the same. I have lost some/all? of my plug which i'm guessing is due to the sweep. I have had very mild period like pains since Thursday but they have been on and off usually dissapearing when I go to bed at night. I tried castor oil yesterday with no effect. I have tried everything because i'm going to be induced next monday if it doesn't happen. I don't want this as I was induced with my first child.
Can anyone in the profession tell me how long i can go being 4cm?? Surely I'd have to go into labour soon???

My son is almost 2. My dad thinks I let him get away with too much. I tell him "no" all the time when he does wrong (like touch things he's not supposed to), but my dad thinks I need to slap his hand or punish him. Usually i try to remove him from the situation. I feel he does not understand time outs yet. Does anyone have similar problem with your own parents? How do you handle it?

I invited a few of my neighbors and their kids over this afternoon - we just had coffee and the kids played. The kids were all different ages - from 2 to about 10.

There is a neighbor who everyone likes but none of the kids like her daughter - she's 9 and very whiny and bossy. My daughter (who is 6) is always polite to her, but doesn't really consider her a friend. I had her over a few times and my daughter just doesn't have anything in common with her and is bored and keeps asking when she is leaving.

Anyway, this neighbor happened to stop by with her daugher to see if we wanted to go to Chuck E. Cheese with them. They saw all the people in the house. I politely said, not today, maybe another time. I feel bad that I didn't invite them in. I hate to force friendships on my daughter, but I know how I would feel if I wasn't the one invited.

Its soo annoying he wakes up too much when he’s sick. My wife doesn’t even sleep, she wakes up like every hour feels his forehead then goes back to sleep. He pukes on my bed, and my wife is all OK with it and I jus think he’s nasty. I told him he’s nasty too, he jus looked at me with a sad little face and said “ wheres mommy?” im like “how the hell do I no where she is? Downstairs maybe” and he says” can u go get her?” me: No!!” Him: “Fine then I will even tho I cant go down the stairs” but whatever.. Im being totally serious here so plz answer. Thanks!! ohh and she said shes gonna divorce me. Yay!!

My eldest daughter is 13, almost 14 and just started 9th grade. I still shop for her from the girls section. When I saw her new friends today, they dress like 20 yr olds! Aren't 13-14yr olds still little girls? I don't want her to get influenced by them and dress like a 20yr old. What is the appropriate age for kids to start shopping from the adults section? I thought it to be around 16-17?

We are ttc, and it's too soon to take a hpt. I am due this week sometime for my period and it seems like i am getting pms. Could pms and pregnancy symptoms be a like? I feel a little crampy and bloated. I am very regular on my cycle and we had unpretected sex during the week of ovulaton... but this was our first month ttc. Not sure what to expect : )

I just got my period last night, after thinking was pregnant. But question is, I've heard that you can be pregnant and still have period. Is this true?
And....even though my period just started yesterday. My periods in the first few days it is really heavy. Well now this time it isn't heavy at all. Not much blood but lots of blood clots.
