What the hell is wrong with some of you people saying thay abortion is right? Why would you want to kill a child? How would You feel if your child was killed? or if it was you when you were a fetus? I strongly believe life begins at conception. Not at birth.

Take the rose colored glasses off and get a grip on reality. Women should be allowed to have abortions. When abortions were illegal, many women died from the complications of attempting or performing a botched abortions at home. Women need access to abortions especially if the woman is extremely poor, has been raped, has medical issues that do not permit the pregnancy or birth of the child, are in an abusive relationship, are addicted to drugs or taking drugs for medical reasons that could cause birth defects, alcoholism, or belongs to a family that follows a fanatical religion (pregnant out of wedlock).
Preclampsia, gestational diabetes, ectopic pregnancy, cancer, medications, endometriosis, impending miscarriage, extreme birth defects detected through testing or sonogram, damaged cervix (sometimes even missing cervix) etc are medical conditions in which a doctor may advise or NEED to perform an abortion. Abortion is not about good or bad it is about what is right for that woman at that time.

I am stuck in between this question. My husband and I have three children and struggle to raise them financially. If I was to get pregnant again, I wouldn't know what to do. We are using protection, but that doesn't always work. I couldn't carry another child and give it up because I can't imagine carrying a baby for 9 months and just give it away. I also can't imagine having an abortion and thinking about what sex the baby was or when it's birthday would have been. Who would it have looked like. What type of personality it would have had. For other people, I look at it as it being their choice. I don't know what kind of situation they are in and how they got there. So I have no right to judge them for their decision. That's why it is a decision. A decision only one or two people can make depending on the circumstances. I just hope I never get into the situation where I would have to make that choice.

I am appalled that this is a political issue as opposed it it being a decision that the women her self should make, and rightfully so! I am not suggestion that a women should have unprotected sex and then solve the problem with abortion, but if an accident happens, there are serious genetic alteration in the fetus or the mother's life is in danger, it should definitely be an option.

I'm against it! i think that children are a blessing and if your lucky to get pregnant then you should carry the child to term. if you don't want the child then you should give it up for adoption there's someone out there that is willing to take the baby for you.getting pregnant and having an abortion shows a lack of responsibility. i think that you should protect your self so that things like that wouldn't happen. the ONLY exception to this would be getting raped. cause that's not the girls fault. but the girl should still carry the baby to term then adoption.this is MY opinion.

I have been in a situation where I considered it. I couldn't go through with it. Now I have a beautiful 8 yr old daughter I cherish. However, I had the freedom to make that choice. I believe all women have a right to weigh all of the consequences and make THEIR own choice.

I am personally against I would tell a person thinking about it how I feel but I would not push my beliefs on them cause ultimatly it is their choice not mine but why would you want to kill an innocent little baby if nothing else have it and give it up for adoption !

It's my belief that if you don't want to get pregnant take steps to ensure you don't. If you can't afford to or you are too careless and end up pregnant it's your fault, don't take it out on the baby. I know there are people that say "what about incest or rape" but that's not the child's fault either. There is no excuse. Not to mention that the percentage of women that want an abortion for these reasons is VERY small. I think most of them are careless, lazy, or just too stupid to listen to what people are telling them.

What an intelligent argument. I totally agree with the lady above. I had a ternimation when i was very young. NOT an easy choice and for me to make, but it was the choice i made. Unfortunately I got hate mail in the post for months afterwards along with gruesome graphic photographs. These people sending the stuff didn't know me, didn't know why I made the decision and didn't realise their affect on me. I do not wish to disclose my reasons here to appease the ignorant cretins who choose to judge me, but it was my body, my reasons!!!

Except in cases of rape or incest, a woman does have the right to decide what to do with her body. That time is BEFORE she has sex and becomes pregnant. In today's age, with contraception so easily available there is no reason for a woman to allow herself to become pregnant if she doesn't want to be. "Accidents" are simply an excuse for irresponsible behavior.
