Not to sound strange or anything. I'd just like to hear what kind of discomforts and pains that other women feel and compare them to my own.
Tell me about any differences you notice as well (besides the egg white CM) Thanks !

Rectal Pain During Ovulation

2016-11-16 14:26:50 · answer #2 · answered by ? 4 · 0 0

At the age of 28, I know my body very well. I can feel which side I'm ovulating from because I'll have either a dull ache on one side, or sharp stabbing pains on one side. They typically don't last more than a week.
Last year they did though. I had a sharp stabbing pain in my right side for 3 months. Turns out I had a huge cyst that had engulfed my right ovary. So now I only have the left one. The doctor said that when you have one removed, the other one takes over and does double duty. I'm 22 wks pregnant now with my 3rd child, so it still works!! =)

First off -- stabbing pain front to back on the side that is ovulating. Secondly, knee/thigh/hip pain on the side that is ovulating. Third, pressure in my rectum that feels like I need to go to the bathroom -- but no actual need to do so.

I also get the general achiness through the back and abdomen -- the tightness -- that others described. And the egg white discharge.

One good thing about the symptoms -- always made it MUCH easier to get pregnant! We never had to try more than a month or two -- twice we "caught" in the first month. And now it's good because I can relate my symptoms to my moods, and take steps to alleviate some of the PMS symptoms.

If the pains bother you -- try Evening Primrose oil. Comes in capsules, looks like Vitamin E.

Not to sound strange either, but I feel a pinch, right below my belly button, for 5 seconds. It can happen up to 4 times during ovulation.

I get a lot of pain on the side that's ovulating ( I assume), I get a little bloated and sometimes it hurts to pee. I find that ovulation hurts worse than my period. i don't get any cramos with my periods anymore. However ovulation hurts like hell! Well I guess at least I know I am ovulating..LOL..

I know when I ovulate I have very bad pain in my groin area and my butt. Last any where from an hour to four. I have a very high pain tolerance but this leaves me unable to sit or stand only laying with a heating pad helps.

When I ovulated last, I could totally tell. I had this pinching, squeezing type cramp on one side of my stomach only. It lasted for about 8 hours.

Around ovulation time I used to have sore breasts and cramping, usually on either side of my pelvis, I used to get higher temps too.

Sometimes, it feels a little crampy. Not bad, just discomfort. And once in a great while, a spot or two.
