Pregnancy & Parenting - 27 August 2006

I get so sad when I think about all the good memories from when I was little. I wish I could go back to that time and stay there, 4 years old.

I am 14.

In my room I have a big blue chest that my dad made me when I was little. Inside it keep all my sentimental stuff - baby toys, special things my parents got for me, baby pictures, old stuffed animals, and lots of other things that mean so much to me.

Is this normal for me to feel this way? Or do I need more help, like a theripist? I don't know what I would do if my mom or dad died. I wouldn't be able to go on. When I think about all the old things I used to do, the friends I've had, the things I liked; it makes me so sad to think that all of that is gone now.

Does anyone else feel this way? Is it normal? Will I grow out of it? Do I need help?

all the women in my family are getting together next weekend with thier children no husbands,,,to talk get updated on how everybody is doing, have some drinks,,talk about the kids and so on and thats fun,, nice except I am the only one with out kids married 12 yrs not been able to concieve and will be going to specialist soon ,,my problem is i feel like i don't have anything in common with them and breaks my heart to see everyone with thier babys and me by myself i fake a smile they don't know how i feel or what i am going through i smile and inside i am dieing of sadness,,,i really dont' go to any party from the family because i feel depress,,,i use to go but not anymore,,,,,my grandma really wants me to go she raised me so i feel bad not to go for her,,i feel happy for them but want to cry inside and won't talk about it to them b/c I would cry and i don't want them to feel sorry for me I know they stare and probably say oh she still hasn't concieve its hard what should i do?

I don't have a good relationship w/ my parents, for a year I've been extremely resentful. They were too harsh on me cause I was somewhat lost and I could never get over. I respect them and I'm polite, but very distant, avoid talking to them. People consider me a good girl and praise my parents. I avoid talking about my problems w/ them but those who know can't understand how someone like me can be so resentful. Sometimes they try to force a situation for us to make up and this drives me terribly upset. I take part in volunteering acticities with children and the lady who manages it likes me really much. Next weekend there'll be a party with the presence of teens and their parents and on such events parents usually hug their kids. She invited mine and says it's a great opportunity for reconciliation, wants to see me and my parents hug. I think I wont go to the party, or I'll live a kinda sad and emotionally devastating situation. But if I dont go I'll hurt the children I deal with.

I have been breastfeeding for about a month now and I had no idea when I started that milk would spray from my breasts or it would leak and make big spots on my cloths usually in the most embarisaing times.

I figure that there are many funny stories all you moms have about it so please share.

Will I get them at the last minute? My mother got a few stretch marks but early in her pregnancy. You can't see any now and she is in great shape. I use lotion so you don't have to put that down, I have tried every single idea people have given me like vitamin e, cocoa butter, etc. Do you think I will still get them in my last 5 weeks?

We have 2 children. she gets her period regularly. but we are having problems. with her getting pregnant. my sperm count is good. to very good. we don't have the money for fertility Drugs.We just became self employed and we live in los angeles, ca.
Does anyone or ladies have any ideals. That we can do. or try since we are short on funds.

my boyfriend always talks about having another baby (i have a step daughter). we always have unpretected sex and i was wondering why i havnt gotten pregnant yet. if he doesnt nut in me but nuts on the outside of my virgina(people say u can get pregnant that way) and some say if he pre-nuts in your virgina, u can get pregnant that way as well...

My boyfriend and I had sex on the 26th of this month. According to my calendar I was ovulating that day as well. I am currently on the pill but recently I didn't take in a row two of my pills, and didn't make them up! When we had sex that day he ejaculated in my vagina. Also later that day we had sex again but instead of my vagina he ejaculated in my anus. So I'm concern can I become pregnant? Also should I continue with the pills? Or stop them to see if become pregnant right away!? Also when can I take a home pregnancy test?

I'm due Sept, 21st and celebrating my birthday on Halloween and want to look my best in my costume which will be alittle revealing. My husband and I have been trying for three years to get pregnant, and this morning my mother calls me to let me know that my sister is pregnant. My sister is a little over a year older than I am, but she also lives with four other people, one of which is her current boyfriend, in an apartment that I wouldn't inflict on a homeless person. She has a past - and present - of drug use, a past of prostitution, and can't keep a job for more than a month before being fired. To add horror to that, she rarely if ever uses any kind of birth control or protection, and won't have herself tested for STDs because she's afraid of the results. The father of this baby is an ex-convict three times over. She can't take care of herself, much less a baby. We hardly ever see her, even at family gatherings, because her boyfriend refuses to do anything around the family and won't let her go anywhere without him.

I have been having cramps all day today, and spotting(small bright red and more brown) yesterday and today. Someone told me its normal to have bleeding around the time of your 1st missed period. My spotting started 4 days after my anticipated period (which never came). I took 3 preg. tests and had the doctor take a blood test, all positive. Im just worried and wondering if anyone has any tips, or if they have gone through the same thing. Im very worried, and do not want to miscarry. Anyone know what the chances are of my miscarrying? The father (we are just friends and nothing more) wants nothing to do with me having this baby. He feels that I should get an abortion or put the baby up for adoption and focus on my last year of school. Im sad and really hurt by his reaction (he yelled at me like I was a child!) I have been trying to get pregnant for a year and a half. I have never had a regular period schedule (in fact this year I have had 4 total, one in January, one in March, and two in August). I made an appointment with a Reproductive Endocrinologist (fertility dr), and am nervous about what to expect on my first visit. My husband will be going with me. I filled out the paper work and all that stuff that the sent me, but I'm just curious, is the first visit more of a question/answer session, or do they start doing exams and such. I'm 24 years old, been married for 2 years, and we really want to start a family. Anyone have any advice on what to expect?

one of my kids was helped out with a suction on top of his head and now i'm wondering if its not why hes a bit slow in developing.
hes delayed in
speech emotionaly and now that hes in school i'm noticing hes not learning as fast as he should

I want to wait to tell them until after the first trimester, but they're always asking me when we're going to have a baby, if I'm dizzy or hungry or anything off they ask if I'm pregnant, or any dr. appointment they'll trill out, "let us know if there's any news..!!"

I have a two year old daughter and every time she gets mad about something, she starts to scream and she has this shrill scream that makes you cringe! I think i've tried just about everything I can think of to break the screaming habit but nothing seems to be working! Anyone have any suggestions on what I can do that might end this horrible phase?
