I have GOT to tell you this story. Probably twenty years ago, I had this very vivid dream about having a child. It took place in a lumberyard, and involved someone trying to kidnap my child (this was at least a decade before I had my daughter). It was so intense, I was motivated to actually write it down. (I have only done this twice in my lifetime).

In the dream, the child's name was Phoenix. I loved the idea. When I actually had a baby girl, eight years ago, that was my first choice. But alas, my husband, who had veto power, was not amenable to that name. I STILL love the name and am joyful to hear that someone will chose that for their child. I love the concept it represents.

How about Phoenix Renee? Is that close enough to Rain, but different enough so her peers won't tease her about it?

I kind of like it. It's different and you wont see any of the other baby's having it. As long as you give her a really girlie middle name, I think it would be really cute.

I think that it's better suited as a boys name than a girls. But I do like the name. My fiance would never go for something like that, though. He's so much more traditional than me!

Well, to me its does sound a little cheesy. Not to mention more boysish as well. However it might make a pretty fine middle name. All up to you though :)
