Pregnancy & Parenting - 15 August 2006

I seem to have a special bond with my daughter who is 2 that I just don't have with my son who is 10. It has nothing to do with loving her more, it is just a connection that I seem to have with her. When I was only a few weeks pregnant I was told more than likely I was going to have a miscarriage. I luckely didn't and when I found out I was having a little girl, I was just extatic. She was born with a medical problem, so I have always been very protective over her, in a way that I wasn't with my son. I don't know if it also has to do with the fact that I was almost 8 years older when I had her than when I had my son. Whatever the reason, there just seems to be a bond that she and I share that I dont have with my son. Anyone else have a bond like this with one certain child?

Has anyone ever taken the emergency contraception pill and still got pregnant or tried to concieve the following month? and if so, how long did it take to concieve after taking the ECP? Because I am trying to have a baby but just found out I have to have surgery in two weeks and I'm afraid the surgery could cause serious problems to the fetus so I took the ECP pill to prevent a pregnancy this month but would like to start trying again next month but worried that taking the Emergency Contraceptive Pill this month would disrupt my ovulation next month. Can anyone out there help?

I'm currently 7 months pregnant and my friends and I wanted to go clubbing this weekend but my mother is telling me that they are not going to let me go in the club because I'm pregnant, she says because I'm too much of a "hazard" to the club if something were to happen. I dont see why they wouldnt let me in, and if they dont isn't that discrimination? Can they really not let me in the club? I don't plan on drinking or smoking or anything, I just want to have a good time with my friends. Please, Help, What do I do? Do I go or not?

ok i told u about my dad and my brothers baby momma sleeping with each other and the boys birthday has passed but they are having a party this weekened..i dont think i can go..i think its best that the girl and i dont ever see each other because i will give her a peice of my mind i cant believe she is a betraying slut to have a baby by my brother and sleep with my dad...they both dont see nothing wrong with it...i wont be attending the birthday party ..think i am wrong? i will send a present with my sister i dont think i can handle my mouth if i go..

i am 16 wks preg. and i have a 3 yrs old daughter that i have raised alone since the father found out i was pregnant and skipped town. now that i'm a mom i realize what a HUGE responsibility it is and don't think i can successfully raise 2 by myself. ( the father is a nut job, i know, i'm a good picker) But i feel bad, like i'm bout make a mistake. i am having trouble with staying pregant and myself and my husband really want a baby. my consultant said he would carry out some tests and asked me and my husband to give blood so that they can check the chromozones but i don't understand and i felt embaressed to ask him about what this means in all my pregnacies i have lasted up to 10weeks. in each pregnancy the feteos had died and my sac has contunied to grow to a certain stage and is only discovered by having a scan.

I had a miscarriage 3 mnths ago and my cycle is back on track like normal. However, My last period was 8/4 and went off on 8/8 and i know i ovulate on 8/17. I am normaly careful not to have unprotected sex on or around my ovulation day. my bf and i just had sex today 8/15 unprotected but he didn't ejaculate in me fully. It was more like half in and half out. Do u think i could have gotten pregnant?

I have been trying to conceive for 10 months now and Iam very frustrated with no results. Im 31 and feel that I may have ran out of time. I keep track of my periods and ovulation. Anyone have any ideas on natural ways to promote this or anything I can do to increase infertilty? Thanks so much.

Im not going through this yet...but my cousin's 10 month old does it all the time and sometimes get poo on the carpet. She even puts on her diaper with her sitting or standing up...sometimes i think it kinda of funny though to see the two of them scramble during diaper changes

I bleed 3 1/2 days to 4 * for my time of the month) and it starts out heavy and terrible cramps. Is this cause to worry? I started my periods at 12 for 7 days. Then it went to 5. Now I am at 3 1/2 to 4 days.

I had 2 days of spotting 7 days after intercourse. a week or so later, 2 days after my expected time of period i started to spot off and on light pink/brown and sometimes some verly light red staining It has never been constant, just a few times a day. iv been into unprotected sex lately and for 3 days now ive been feeling more sleepy that usual, even if i get more sleep than i use to, i feel sleepy both in the evening and morning and i immediatly fell asleep.. ive been eating more than usual also.
