Goodie Bags. The $ store is a great place to find small favors for kids. I did a princess theme for my daughters birthday and bought all the kids cheap tiara's and told them to dress up. They had so much fun. They acted like little princesses

What a fun week you are going to have till Saturday when you will have planned the perfect birthday!! Pick a theme first. Ask her, or maybe you already know, what theme she wants. Then go from there. I've found some fabulous fun birthday sites for you for 7 year olds. Oh, figure out how many will be at her party and order the cake this evening or tomorrow. Plan what kind of ice cream you'll serve and you can buy it anytime this week. Then start shopping for your theme of paper plates, napkins, cups, etc., that will all match. Make sure you buy film if you have a camera that uses film; if it's digital make sure it's charged! Call everybody by tomorrow, or this evening, that you plan on inviting as you only have 4 days to notify them and hopefully they won't be booked already to go some place else. Apologize for not sending invitations at least 2 weeks ahead of time and for calling instead. Then start planning the party activities and have her help you. Here's the great sites:

Don't forget the batteries and a screw driver. You know how they want to play with the stuff right away. I found these cool stick on jewelry at target by the party favor section. The girls loved it.

c'mon hun spice it up!!! Have a Mexican FIESTA!!!!! If she likes Dora...make that the theme..if not just make it generic. Get a piñata..they have them at wal-mart. Also at wal-mart in the baby section they have a Fisher-Price cd called "cantemos en español" Dale, dale, dale" is the song they play while they hit the piñata and "Las Mañanitas" is the birthday song..both on the cd.

Don't forget the party favors. We always do a pinata, it infuriates my mom because she thinks it's a hispanic thing (yeah, my mom has some racial issues), but all the kids in CA have pinata's.
