I know it might sound a little weird that I have a bippy at this age, but I have high functioning autism, and I'm still sort of socially
and emotionally immature, in spite of having a BA degree in
Geography. And by "bippy" I mean pacifier. I have had a pacifier for the past 15 years...I had my baby bottle till I was 6 years old and I never forgot what the nipple tasted like. So when I was 15,
I got a pacifier because I thought it would be easier to hide than a bottle, but my mother still found it. She was sort of bewildered
when she first saw that I had a pacifier, but she's accepted it very well now. Problem is no matter how hard I try, I can't get rid of it!
I've tried twice and it doesn't seem to help anything. I try not to use in public, but I'll put it in my shirt pocket or something. It just makes me feel more secure, I guess. One lady I've known for
years, when I said "I can't get rid of my paci" she said of "course you can't, you're autistic." Will it hurt my teeth??
