I'm 39 weeks pregnant & I tried nipple stimulation for 25 minutes, but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. Has this method worked for anyone else & if so how did you do it & for how long? Thanks!

Having sex can induce labor. Have your husband/bf play with them. Read this:http://www.birthingnaturally.net/cn/technique/nipple.html and be prepared and careful! ;-)

for nipple stimulation to work you need two things

#1 the baby has to be ready to be born (it wont work if the lungs are not fully developed, same with all other natural induction methods)

#2 you need to do it for roughly 25 min every two hours (just like feeding a newborn)
I recommend a high quality pump with a high suck release cycle (pump in style is a good one)

Usually that will just bring on a bunch of false contractions, if anything at all. I think your body is ready when it's ready.

i've tried it and it hasn't worked yet... i've read that if you use a breast pump though, that it can bring on labor.. not sure if it works all the time though... guess you could try it though...
