My due date is August 18th and I'm 2cm dialated and been that way for 3 weeks. And I am 80% effaced. So I'm having the same problem!! I don't know how to answer this one but letting you know that you are not alone!! Best wishes and good luck!!

Baby will come when he/she is good and ready.

I am 100% effaced and 1cm since 30 weeks, I am 32 weeks now.

You'll lose your mucus plug (you may not realilze it)
your water will break (they usually like to deliver you within 24 hours of that happening due to chance of infection)
you will efface more and have another 9 cm's to dialate.

It could mean you're going to deliver soon, or it could mean nothing! I was 1.5 cm dialated and 50 % effaced at 37.5 weeks, and I delivered 5 days later but I've heard of people dialated 2 cm for weeks on end.

Hard to tell,
I have had 5 kids, 1 was 2 months premature, one was 3 weeks early, the 3rd was born a week before my due date, my 4th was born on her due date, and the 5th was born a week past my due date.
When your baby and you produce a certain chemical at the same time, you will go into labor, no sooner, no later.

Trust me, don't rush it, take this time before your little ones arrival and pamper yourself, take long baths, get a haircut, get a facial, or see about a massage, enjoy the time alone, rest, relax,
You wont be able to do a lot for yourself when the new baby arrives.
Congratz on the upcoming arrival of the baby!

I walked around 2 cm dilated for quite awhile, but I don't think I was 90% effaced. I'll make a bet that you will have the baby by Monday! Good luck!!!!

There is no one right answer for you honey.

You could be one centimeter dialated and 90 percent effaced for a day or a week.

Childbirth is very unpredictible.

its hard to say. I was at 1cm for about 1 month, and I was 50% effaced half that time. You could still very well go up to your due date, or past. I know you probaly didnt want to hear that though.

Just think, the more time babies in there, the more healthy it'll be. It'll come when ready. You'll miss being pregnant after you have it, mark my words.

Your question is impossible to answer... every person dialates and goes in to labor at a different pace. Even pregnancies in the same person can be totally different. Good Luck and Congrats.
