I was put on the Metformin because because one of the many symptoms of the Polycystic ovaries is low insulin, which caused me to have higher testosterone levels, which makes it harder to conceive and even harder to ovulate. It is supposed to make my body back to a "normal" womans body. What I mean by that is other symptoms are extra body hair, no periods, depression, and so many other things. So yeah thats why I am on the Metformin.

I feel your pain I take metiformin for PCOS symptoms, which is horrible, the PCOS that is.I have alot of the weight issues. Its really easy to gain and very hard to lose. I am also trying to conceive and cannot,so I plan to take clomid in the near future. Whenever I am able to get my cycle straight. You know for a long time I kept telling my doc that something was wrong with me and he would say that it was stress and that I would not get pregnant cause I was too fat. Well I changed docs and that is when i finally find out I had pcos. Anyway I just thought I would share my story with some one who might understand.

Polycystic ovaries are when they are enlarged by a benign tumor? Maybe I'm confused...

Wouldn't surgery be better for this?
