Pregnancy & Parenting - 3 August 2006

She is 11 months old. If I nurse her she will sleep until 7 or 7:30. She isn't that hungry because she only nurses for about 3 minutes before falling back asleep. If I don't go in there she will cry and throw her blankie out, which caused her to cry even more. Why has she started doing this? She used to sleep until 7:30 without this extra feeding.

My friend is 36 weeks and just found out her baby has turned and is now upsided down in the breech position. She DOES NOT want to have a c-section and is looking into to homeopathic methods to possibly help turn the baby before her due date! Any advice?

I have all ready asked this question but I don't think I was understood.What I need to know is exactly where is the fetus? Yes I know in the womb but is the womb big and reaches my ribs, so my baby can move around, in other words is it possible that sometimes I feel my baby in right under my ribs? I'm 17 wks and 5 days. I would like to put her/his father's hand on my abdomen and show him where my baby is. Thank your for taking the time to anser my queston.

Did anyone have a urinary tract infection in early pregnancy that caused spotting? I just found out that I have a urinary tract infection and I think it may be responsible for my spotting. I read online about spotting and it said that a urinary tract infection can cause spotting.

My water broke around 8pm & I have had maybe 2 contractions. How much longer will it be before I am really feeling the contractions? Also, I keep having the urge to urinate & I know I am just pushing out more amniotic fluid every time I go, so should I try to hold it in for cushioning?

My boyfriend and I Have been trying to have a baby. We have been trying for about 7months and I cannot get pregnant. I think I may have a Blocked Fallopian tube, but I still get my period every month.
So my Question is do you get your period if you have a blocked fallopian tube?
B/c in my book it says that
"Female infertility can be caused by an obstruction in a fallopian tube, through which the egg passes from the ovary to the uterus." What does that mean?? please Help with any Suggestions thanks!!

I've always had regular periods, a 28 day cycle, that last at the longest 3 1/2 days. July and August they have come 2 days early each time, beginning with brown discharge, which I never had and LOTS of clotting/tissue. What does this mean? I thought I was pregnant, but that was a flop (neg tests), so what's wrong with me? I've also been having terrible cramps, dizziness, headaches, and nausea with both of them as well. I don't don't have STD's or a yeast infection either. Any idea what it is?

25 yo, no tumors, no birth control...and the 3 1/2 day period is normal for me.

my husband and i are ttc. i had a period on 7/4. i know i have already ovulated, and i think i had implantation bleeding today b/c i had some brown colored discharge. so my question is...........how long do i need to wait before i take a test? and how long does impantation last and how much bleeding usually occurs?

My husband travels weekly and I am suppose to ovulate on the 18th of August. I have been told to have sex that entire week.
He is leaving that Monday the 14th (we can have sex before he leaves for the airport in the am). He is gone Tuesday, Wednesday, returning Thursday. We can have sex Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Do you think this is good enough?

Any other suggestions? I am very anxious.

I'd like the opinions and experiences of parents who've had this problem and what you found to work. I've been using hydrocortisone 1%, but it doesn't do the trick. The doctor said that usually they outgrow this by their 1st B-day (which was a week ago)... but I don't see it getting better. It doesn't seem to bother my son... I never see him really scratch at it. It is mostly on his legs and a few spots on his arms. I've also tried giving luke warm baths, not bathing as often, lotioning with Aquaphor, Eucerin, baby lotion... and still nothing. Has anyone visited a dermatologist for their infant? What was their recommendation? If your child outgrew it, how old was he/she? If one parent has the condition, is it likely the child will continue with it?

i've had 2 c-sections one 4 years ago and another 2 years ago and to this day i think of what a horrible experience it was. I felt like i would die and i've never felt that way before. The first time I was induced and my sons heart rate started to drop so i had an emergency c-section after i had already had an epidural. The anesthesiologist told me "you are going to feel like there is a horse on your chest" and then it started...i felt like i had someone's hands around my throat choking me. i felt like my eyes were going to roll back in my head and i whispered to my husband that i can't see the baby until i can breath again because i thought if i saw the baby i would definately faint from overwhelming emotion! I have always felt guilty for that and wish i could go and tell all the nurses that heard that that i didn't mean i didn't want the baby! i was just out of my mind scared i couldn't breath....anyway, i've never met anyone else who experienced a c-section like this.

i wanna know why people on here are so hatful towards young mothers. like heres something i found that someone wrote about a young mother "YOUR 13 YOU NASTY HO AND YOUR MOM NEEDS TO GET SLAPED FOR LETTING YOU KEEP THIS BABY YOUR GOING TO REGREAT IT ALL YOUR LIFE SLUUT" Yes i know that 13 is VERY young to be having a baby, but if she has family support, then what is it to everyone else. its not your baby or your decision. so how bout you not call young girls like this a ho or slut and just get on with your own life.
