just wondering. my little one has 7. i heard that it varies from baby to baby.

My sister in law is in labor right now and my mom is updating me over the phone. She has been pushing for over 3 hrs and the baby is in the occiput posterior position. Should they have been having her push that long if it was in that position? And also, as soon as the head was visible, apparently a different nurse came in and took her hand and pushed the baby all the way back up. I am not a nurse, but that didn't sound right to me. And now they are telling her they are going to wait 15 min. and if the baby is in the same position they will do the c-section.
I am scared they are waiting to long to do that. She has already been at the hospital about 20 hrs with nothing to eat and exhausted. To me, the nurse shoving the baby back up the birth canal sounds harmful to the baby.... Can anyone help me out and tell me if I am right or that is something "normal?"

My husband and I have an almost 4 year daughter. We have had marital problems and I don't know if we should have another child, but I would like to have another one. I know that all marriages have problems, but how do you know if the problems are bad enough that we should consider NOT having another child together. Also, I don't want our daugther to be an only child, but I want to do the right thing for all parties involved.

Has anyone experienced such early teething? Is it possible at such a young age - or am I misdiagnosing? He is irritable, chewing his hands and his blanket and drooling.

Hi, I am 23 yrs old and I've been with my bf for 6 yrs. So, far we live together nothing else. I always think about the future and having kids. And I get so scared and start having all these thoughts. Such as how do i know if I am punshing them right? If they want a pierceing is it ok (depending the age)? If they want to go to the movies with some friends should I let her/him? I feel like who's going to guide me thru this. I dont have kids so I dont know how it is to be a parent. I know you go learning with years but, it so scary. My aunt was so strict with my cousins that when they turned 18 they both left the house. And thats what I am scared of. That I am not a good parent and they hate me or that I am too nice and they take advantage. You as a parent how do you balance from being nice to being strict. And what rules do you set and example for your children?

He is a wonderful boy. Never has problems with using the bathroom. Until he is asleep. Usually every night he wets the bed. It really bothers him. I bought him the goodnights. Which I love , I don't have to wash his blankets everyday. But he just hates it. I know it makes him feel like he is a baby. But I don't want to go back to washing his blankets all the time again. What do I do?

My daughter is visiting for a week with our grandchildren. They are a girl age 3 and a boy age 4. We plan on going to the zoo, park, mini-golf. They're kind of tired of the pool.

I want my son to get more interaction with other kids his age, any ideas on classes or recreation programs i can sign him up for. Keep in mine he is only 27 mo old and is just barely learning to follow directions. Or maybe is he too young?

My friend is in a mess right now because her doctor said that she is 1 month and 2 weeks preggy. He didn't really did any tests but asked her a couple of questions. But my friend said that he hasn't been having her period and are showing signs of being preggy. And the thing is that the father is her ex who is a total asswipe who I want to beat up really really bad. So has anyone experienced something like this? And if she is indeed preggy do you think she should keep the baby? She is only 21, haven't been going to school, so she doesn't have a very visible good future, and I think she is not ready to be a mom yet.

For me, I would opt her to keep it because it is just plain wrong to abort because it is like killing a child. What do you think?
