Tired of the pool? Wow. I don't know any kids that tire of the pool. You don't have to entertain them everyday you know. There is nothing wrong with staying home and supplying paper, crayons and coloring books etc.

let them bake with you
make homemade ice cream
catch lightening bugs
do you have a Children's Museum?
playground
nature walks
trip to the ice cream shop
trip to the Everythings a Dollar store
talk about when mom was their age
get some sidewalk chalk and let them draw on the sidewalk...teach them to play hopscotch
let them play in the sprinkler
go on a picnic
draw pictues with them
make homemade playdough (recipes on the net...do a Google search)
blow bubbles

I think a previous poster answered with a lot of different activities and I'd have to agree with her, those sound good huh?
One thing I wanted to add was don't forget that they will be interested in anything you are interested in. If you like to garden, so will they. If you are into old movies, they'll want to watch one with you!

Plan a picnic while your at the park and maybe an art musuem. And if they haven't seen the movie cars, that would be great too!

very last year when we did summer/sealife...we delivered some puppy goldfish, mad puppets and had showtime, junk modelled a huge boat, set up a pretend sea coast outdoors, did a events day themed of summer

give them a coloring book and put them in a room. but make sure they don't color all over your stuff, yell at them before they do.
