She is 11 months old. If I nurse her she will sleep until 7 or 7:30. She isn't that hungry because she only nurses for about 3 minutes before falling back asleep. If I don't go in there she will cry and throw her blankie out, which caused her to cry even more. Why has she started doing this? She used to sleep until 7:30 without this extra feeding.

She may be working on a big developmental step such as walking. Developmental milestones can often cause sleep disruption.

She may be hitting her one year growth spurt a little early.

She may be teething.

In any case, nightwaking is still very NORMAL at this age. There is NOTHING WRONG with you responding to her needs and nursing her back to sleep.

She's doing it because you're getting up and nursing her. Let her cry, she'll fall back to sleep or be up for the day.

It may also be separation anxiety, maybe she just came to realize mommy is not in the same room so she cries and wants you to hold her close.

One thing you will learn.....everytime you think you're on the right track, they change. They are constantly changing.

She's getting bigger and so is her tummy. She may need more to eat before bedtime.
