my husband and i are ttc. i had a period on 7/4. i know i have already ovulated, and i think i had implantation bleeding today b/c i had some brown colored discharge. so my question is...........how long do i need to wait before i take a test? and how long does impantation last and how much bleeding usually occurs?

Implantation bleeding usually is a small amount probably only one day and i would wait until you miss your period at least by 2 to 3 days and first response early pregnancy test doesn't work like they say just so you know

To begin, implantation bleeding is most likely is just a little recognizing of darkish brown blood and you do not even want a pad or whatever, its simply there while you wipe. If it's greater than that it can be your interval commencing. If that is implantation bleeding, I'd experiment Saturday morning with FMU. Once implantation happens you will have to get a BFP inside a 3 or 4 days. Good good fortune! The dreaded 2 week wait can think like a life-time!!!

Implantation usually occurs 7 to 8 days after ovulation and it takes another 6 or so days for the hormones to reach a level that they can be detected at.
If you are desperate and can't wait that long - First Response are meant to give the earliest result

Do you know when you ovulated? Usually 13 days post-ovulation will show an accurate result. But, I waited to test until 8 days after ovulation and I got my positive. I didn't have any implantation bleeding, but I charted so I knew when it happened.

usually 2 weeks but if you test & it comes out neg wait another week test again. by the third week your hcg level doubles every 2 or 3 days sometimes it takes awhile for hcg levels to show up on hpts.
