that when you like someone (mostly females) that you suddenly start to clean out of the blue, like you wouldn't do normally do? For some reason, when I like a person, I do what my family calls "nesting". I clean everything and don't stop 'til it's done perfectly. I especially do this when I'm involved with someone. Is this normal? Why do I do this?

I have Juris doctorate, and my husband is international real estate, I just started working in a firm, I have friends that have children and they ask what I am going to do when I have kids, I tell them I am going to be a lawyer, and they ask me why I don't want to stay home with my kids. Why is it only me that is asked that, and why not my husband? Why is it the women who has to stay home? I mean I know it's good for the kids, and all this stuffl, but why me? Why don't they ask my husband to do it, or when he is going to quit his job?

I mean, a parent is a parent, when we have kids, we are going to split it up so that I am working part time and he is working part time, so that the kids have both parents. I just think it is so much better that way.

I grew up with just a stay at home mom, and a dad who worked all of the time, I would have much rather had both parents there. Babies need both mommies and daddies present.

Just don't understand why raising the children falls solely on me.

My son doesn't look like me or his father AT ALL.
He has dark dark brown hair and bright blue eyes and very pale skin.

I have blond hair and green eyes, and my husband has dark brown hair, but his hair is lighter than our son's. Our son's hair is almost black. Also, My husband has hazel eyes and a darker complexion.

I don't understand where my son's blue eyes came from (neither of us have blue eyes), i don't understand where his dark hair came from (neither of us have hair THAT dark, and i expected it to be in between our colors, like a medium brown; blond mixed with dark brown.), and I don't understand where his pale doll-like skin came from (neither of us are pale, and my husband is kind of tan [naturally])

by the way, i know alot of babies are born with blue eyes and their eyes later on change colors but my son is 26 months old, they would have changed by now.

i'm not complaining about the way he looks, he's a doll! i love him. im just wondering why he came out like that.

has ever done something like this? Tell us please
Why Parents Go Gray .
The boss of a big company who needed to call one of his employees about an urgent problem with one of the main computers, dialed the
employee's home phone number and was greeted with a child's whisper, "Hello."
"Is your daddy home?" he asked. "Yes," whispered the small voice. "May I talk with him?" The child whispered, "No." Surprised, and wanting to talk with an adult, the boss asked,
"Is your mommy? there?" "Yes." "May I talk with her?" Again the small voice whispered, "No."
Hoping there was somebody with whom he could leave a message, the boss asked, "Is anybody else there?" "Yes," whispered the child, "a policeman." Wondering what a cop would be doing at his employee's home, the boss asked, "May I speak with the policeman?"
"No, he's busy", whispered the child. "Busy doing what?" "Talking to Daddy and Mommy and the Fireman", came the whispered answer.
Growing concerned and even worried as he heard what sounded like a helicopter through the earpiece on the phone the boss asked, "What is that noise?" "A hello-copper" answered the whispering voice. "What is going on there?" asked the boss, now alarmed.
In an awed whispering voice the child answered, "The search team just landed the hello-copper." Alarmed, concerned, and even more then just a little frustrated the boss asked, "What are they searching for?" Still whispering, the young voice replied along with a muffled giggle: "ME"

I'm quite certain I won't ask this in a manner that won't offend someone. I failed diplomacy anyway and this is a pretty charged question but I'm sincerely curious...

How do you justify having children? I personally have no problem with gay or interracial relationships but children are brutal. You have to know that they are going to be absolutely terrorized growing up and in school unless you are in an area like Provincetown, Ma; Greenwich Village or San Francisco (and even then) these kids are going to be ostracized pitifully. They will adapt but like most psychological survival skills, they cause more problems when the danger is over then they ever save people from.

Is it just because you can? Are you telling yourself that you are trying to change and better the world for them? Anywho - would appreciate your thoughts... please though, no anecdotal evidence, I have my own.

I thought it was physically impossible for preteens to get pregnant, but then I saw a story about a five-year-old that got pregnant in the 1940s. Can five-year-olds fit a fully erect adult penis in their vagina? Inquiring minds want to know...

My stomach feels really tight on the left side and the bottom part, it hurts to breath, or even walk. It only lasts for about 2-5 minutes. It has happened 3 or 4 times in the last month. Today it happened twice while I was at work. After each time it would happen I could feel my baby move. This is my second pregnancy, but I never felt anything like this. I have a doctors appt. in a week an a half, but is this something I should be concerned about?

I am a history buff and years ago recall reading in a book (and I do not remember the title) about the American Civil War the following anecdote (reported by a physician) : During the Battle of Gettysburg, a Confederate bullet struck and passed through the genitals of a Union soldier and then striking a young townswoman who was caring for the many wounded. The soldier died but the woman survived her wound. Weeks later, she was shocked and dismayed to discover that she was pregnant (she was unmarried) and, in due course, gave birth to a baby girl 7 months later. I know this sounds rediculous, but could it have really happened?

Hi, my daughter is 3 month old. But her stool frequency is too low. In last two weeks, she stool once every 5 days. We checked her stool, find it's normal, not quite hard, not quite soft, the color is normal too.

Is the a 5 days gap between her stool is normal?

Thanks a lot!

What are these women who go to college and grad school telling thier daughters? That you should do exactly what your mother does, that your just once you get out of college is to clean and cook and take care of kids, to depend solely on a man? I don't understand how any mother can set this sort of example for thier daughters. I think married women should be indepedent not dependent on men, and that parents should be parenting in teams. If you are a stay at home mom, that means that the father hardly gets to spend any time with the kids, you would think a good father would want to spend as much time with the kids as the mom. Even if you tell your daughter she can be whatever she wants, you are her primary example, and if you are a housewife, you are just teaching her to dependent, that the man "Has" to be the breadwinner and that is all a woman is good for.
