How would you deal with getting pregnant at 13?

First, I would talk to someone you could really trust so you know you have support. Then I would tell my parents. Next I would consider adoption because there are so many people out there hoping to adopt, my husband and I are going through the process right now and it is such an amazing thing. Keep your head up. It's tough dealing with consequences, but that is what happens when you have sex and it happened for a reason. It will all be okay though.

There is no-one in the world who can tell you the right answer to this question. Go to Planned parenthood. Get all the information you can on all of the ways to handle the situation. Tell your parents, talk to a school nurse, or counselor, Speak with a clergy member. Then only then make the decision that is best for you and the baby.

If I were to spread my legs at 13 and get pregnant then I should accept full responsibility for anything that happens such as pregnancy. I was the one who wanted to spread my legs at such a young age so if something bad happens I should take full responsibility for that.

I would keep my child and try my best to raise him or her right, I wanted to go have sex now I will pay the consequences..

I could never do adoption because of the fear of who may get my child like a molester or something because you always hear about people who adopted kids and starved them or abused them and then abortion is straight up murder and could never live with myself for doing so not to mention I know someone who had one and because of it can never have kids again. I got myself pregnant because of stupidity and that does not give me the right to kill a innocent child for that, I am not going to go cry kill my baby because I was an idiot and wanted to grow up so fast, I am going to be mature about it and say hey I opened my legs and I got pregnant and now it is my responsibility to take care of a child and do the best I can for him or her and teach him or her when they grow up not to make the same bad decisions I did such as opening my legs at 13.

I had a friend who was raped at 13 and had her baby at 14 and both are fine and now she is 19 years old and married to a man who treats her son just like he were his. Just because you are 13 does not mean you can not be a good parent. Back in the old days 13 year olds were giving birth left and right.

First off, talk to your parents. They will be disappointed that you got pregnant, but happy that you came to them.

Then contact a wonderful group called The Nurturing Network. They work with girls and women who are pregnant to help them through their pregnancies and get the support they need so that they don't have to have an abortion.

Were it my daughter who came to me, I would also suggest she put the baby up for adoption. 13 is waaaayyyyyy too young to be a mom and it's the baby who needs a pair of stable, mature grownups as parents so that s/he has someone to turn to when problems come up (which will always happen). The baby needs parents who can handle the bumps in the road without freaking out...and teenagers rarely have that kind of maturity and wisdom to be good parents. But there are so many wonderful couples out there who would be phenomenal parents to the baby and make sure there is a good home for him/her always and forever.

Why would you even want to have sex at 13? You are to young to even became a mom. If you are pregnant tell your parents and let them help you out. If you give it away find someone that can't have kids and let them take care of it.

It would depend on whether I had a caring and loving support system at home to decide if I wanted to keep the child or place it up for adoption to a good home.

At 13, I wasn't even thinking about pregnancy, much less sex. I was more intersted in hanging out with my friends, riding my bike, going to the mall, etc. Any 13 year old whose parents were decent and raised them right (boy or girl) shouldn't even know what sex is, much less be thinking about it and pregnancy.

Unless it was a danger to me, I would have the baby and try to keep the child. If I could not do this I would give it up for adoption to a family member if possible.

If my daughter came home pregnant, there is going to be a trial. I will have the person arrested for statutory rape and do jail time.

As to my daughter, she is too young to be a mother. The decision to abort or put up for adoption will have to be discussed between her and her mother, as I would be too angry to think rationally.
