don't dress the baby any differently than you would dress yourself... very thin clothing. always have the baby wear a hat AND get the little UV sunglasses for infants (check with your eye care professional). it's as important for a baby to have water as it is for you. make certain that the baby is properly hydrated. OH, and buy some "pedialite" in case the baby vomits, or has diareah during the summer months. pedialite has vitamins to keep a baby hydrated when they are not feeling well.
also, check for bug netting covers or bouncy seats that have bug netting covers... your baby will be doing a great deal of sleeping... and when you go places, or are outside, it's nice to know bugs aren't eatting your baby!

always keep a hat on it. Always use sunscreen. Always keep it hydrated with water. Don't dress in long sleeves even though it's a baby. Keep the baby covered in a carrier w/ a top. If the baby gets to hot, bring inside for air conditioning. Good luck with the baby!

When going out, make sure baby is dressed according to the weather...not too hot, but not too exposed, as you can't put sunscreen on a newborn!
Always wear a hat on baby.
Bring a light blanket that you can drape over the carriage to keep hot sun off baby.
Try to get baby to start wearing sunglasses early, they have ones that have a stay - put elastic attatched to help them stay on.
Don't go out for long periods of time when the heat/humidity is really severe.
Stop off in air-conditioned places to cool down!
Best of luck, and congratulations!

Dress the baby in light fabrics, such as linens, and make sure to have a hat and sunscreen. Also, try to keep the baby in shaded areas, or in the air conditioning, if you don't have to be outside.

Babies aren't as stressed by the heat as much as we adults are. I recommend buying lots of onesies. There great for summer weather. Also dont put socks or bonnet caps on your baby. Our bodies release heat through our head and feet. Good Luck!

Drink water and go swimming before the baby is born. Drink LOTS of water! If you decide to breastfeed make sure you drink tons of water! Sundresses feel great too!
