My cousin Abbie who is five, has speech problems. It's not the normal lisp or slight accent. She simply cannot form the letters in her mouth. She can't say the first consanent of hardly any word! She can say "oke" for coke and "ick" for milk. Also she can say Mom and Dad and boat. Is there anything that can help her? I am on a mission to find out so any sites just link them to a reply.

I was taking birth control pills and i quit taking them now i have not had a period, but i didnt have sex after i quit taking them! Since i quit taking them would it confuse my period?

Could this be a sign of more changes ahead? I know she is WAY to young to shave her legs, but is it normal for them to be sooo hairy? Her legs, and thighs and they LOOK like they need shaving!

My 10 year old step daughter just cut her hand. It looks pretty bad, I need to take her to the ER, as she needs stitches and a tetanus shot, but she's terrified of needles and locked herself in her room. She's been in there for hours and won't budge. Hubby is away on business trip and I don't know how to get her to go.

I had a miscarriage three weeks ago. My doctor said to wait for a normal cycle to start trying again, but we had unprotected sex last night. Do you think I could possibly get pregnant or because I haven't had a period, then I probably haven't ovulated either? And if I do get pregnant, do you think I will have another miscarriage because I didn't wait? Please help me. Oh, I do have a son. I had no complications with him.

I have to nanny this upcoming week for two little girls (ages 2 and 5) from 9-5 Monday through Friday. I've worked in a daycare for almost two years, and have been babysitting for six, but I've never had to entertain two children with such a handicap of an age difference for such a long period of time, and I'm afraid I'll run out of activities for them to do. Suggestions?

We just returned from vacation where my 1 yr old was surrounded by cousins, and here at home we go to a playgroup once in a while but he rarely sees the same babies... he has more than enough attentin from me, my husband, grandparents, aunts / uncles, but not really little babies... (by the way, daycare is out of the question -- I'm considering signing up for a little "gym" or tot class....)

My gut tells me a 1 yr old doesn't really need other babies around -- he doesn't play with other babies, they just sort of watch eachother -- but I want to hear other points of view and suggestions. THANKS!

I had unprotected sex with a girl twice. And I came in her twice. I just want to know what kind of pills she has to take to make sure she does not get pregnant. Is it called morning-after pill or birth-control or something else? Its been 12 hours now...can she still take the pills? Where can I get it from? Walgreens has them or do I need prescription?
