If you want to try specifically for a girl, you need to investigate the Shettles method--the only non-medical method of increasing the likelihood of gettint the sex you want with any research proving its effectiveness. See sources section below, but if you want the best chance, read the book, not just the Web site. Since the method is only 75-90% effective, you should only try if you will be thrilled to have a baby of either sex.
One more suggestion... Don't find out the sex before the baby is born. Studies have shown that mothers are more likely to be disappointed if they are pregnant with the "wrong" sex than they are after the birth. This is probably because when you are pregnant, *all* you have is the word "boy" or "girl". After the birth, you have a beautiful baby, and it's hard to stay disappointed for more than a couple of minutes!! (Ask me how I know...I had 4 boys, then over 10 years before I finally had my daughter!!)
And, by the way, undoubtedly someone will say "just be thankful you have 2 healthy children". I am sure you *are* thankful, but I can understand wanting to have a girl, too!! Ignore any thoughtless comments.

I know a couple that had 5 boys then decided to adopt a little girl, come to find out she was pregnant, doc told her she had a little girl in her belly. She gave away the right to adopt because she felt the other couple with no children should get the right to adopt since she was with child. Well 8 months later.........another boy. So you have 2 healthy boys, the 3rd might be another healthy boy and then you might say well, we have 3 kids why not make it even and try for the 4th time. Your call! But good luck and may all you children be healthy and happy.
P.S. I also have 2 boys- 10 and 4 years old.
I dreamed of a little girl too, but I think, I am done.

If you want three children, then you should definitely try again. Be prepared to love a third boy, though. I've read of things that *might* tilt having a girl in your favor, such as having your husband sit in a warm bath before you baby dance, but I really think it's up to random chance. I know for us, we had three boys in a row before our daughter arrived. We always enjoyed the surprise and didn't try any of the wives' tales. Best wishes; only you can really answer your question.

You can increase your chances of getting a girl with some investigating. I owned a product called "BabyComp" in which you take your temperature each morning and it tells you when you will have the best chances of conceiving and when you're chances are better for a boy or girl. Look up the product on the web to find out more.

give it some time and try again. Would you be okay with three boys? There are also companies out there who will give you a higher probability of having a girl for like $3000 if your really concerned about it.

You could always have another boy. How would you feel about that? If you are not okay with it, I would suggest you don't have another baby right now. Maybe adopt a girl? Only try for another "baby" not a boy or a girl.

This may sound silly but my husband and I had a girl first and I knew he wanted a boy (he's a football coach) to do his sports thing with. A friend of ours showed us a Chinese gender chart she had printed off of the Internet. You figure your age and the month you conceive and it is supposed to tell you the gender of your baby. We actually went by this when we tried to have a boy. Guess what? April fools day 2005 we had a 8lb 11 oz baby boy- Kai Alan. Just type in Chinese gender chart and check it out. GOOD LUCK!!!

Well the third time could be the charm but its not 100%....if your only having another kid in the sake of having a girl just remember you are taking a boy/ girl home no matter what....id take a look at others in the family is girls hard to come by or is it like 50/50...
Did you know its the hubby that determans the sex............so hey its not your fault.......tell him to get it right...(kidding)
good luck....and if you can handle a third go for it!

You should go ahead and try for your girl only if you are willing to accept a boy as a possible result. If you are going to resent a baby boy if one comes along, then you really should not become pregnant.
I hope you get your girl...they can be alot of fun!

I have a girl, my friend has a girl, the neighbor has a girl, my sister-in-law has a girl all because we were on top during sex. Try that if you want a girl!
