Many women experience irregularity with their period, especially in the beginning. If you are a few days late, that should be fine.
If you have been sexually active without protection, best to consult an OB GYN Doctor or take a home pregnancy test.
Kid's Health has a good answer about why this happens.

Well, if you have had sexual intercourse with a boy (i.e. his penis actually entered your vagina) in the last few weeks and you are more than a couple of days late, take a pregnancy test. If you did not, then you don't have to worry about being pregnant. Sometimes your period will vary because of changes in hormones, the people around you (look up Dormroom syndrome for more info on that), stress, or just because we aren't perfect we're human. I'm sorry that you are worried, but it's probably normal.

If you're on the birth control, sometimes that may be the side effect of missing period, there are people who are on birth control and have missed a few months of period. If you haven't been having unprotected sex then don't worry you're not pregnant. Although the best advice is for you to see a doctor.

As far as I know, your period can be kind of irregular for 2 yrs. Some girls can be as regualar as a clock (me) some girls can never be (a friend of mine) if you are really worried you should go to the dr. He might give you an answer. If u don't want to go, (don't blame ya) you can be careful of what you eat cause it can affect it. My friend used 2 b anorexic and now, she has that problem.

it seems that ur period has been late for quite a long time. it could be due to polycystic ovarian syndrome, or simply irregularity due to stress, weight loss, etc.
It has been reported that some girls actually miss their period for up to one year.
Moreover, u sound very young, and it has also been reported that the initial period of menstruation is sometimes irregular.

if you haven't had a period since Dec 2005 that's a llittle unusual. if you just missed one or two don't sweat it, you just got your period and you'll probably be a little irregular.

If you have had sex then u might be pregnant. But your period might not be consistent yet so i would not worry. If u miss next month then take a test.
