I love purple for a little girl. You can have purple butterflies etc.. Also anything in pastel looks great! You can also do bright colors like reds, oranges, and blues. Just do the pattern in waves or flowers instead of straight lines. It adds the feminine touch.

I've seen a turquoise nursery for a baby girl. It was very neat. The decor was kind of a Morroccan princess theme.

i agree with the previous reply i think a yellow and white nursery will work because the yellow will represent daisies which is a flower and we know all girls like flowers lol good luck in making your choice and on the baby

we did a different pastel color for each wall. lavender, yellow, pale green, and lit blue with white polka dots ( harderst wall) It is so bright and also I can always put appliques on the wall to change up the theme. Friends came over and painted so it meant a lot to us each time we walked into the room.

I recently had a baby boy. I also didn't want any pastels. I went on-line and typed in baby bedding and I finally settled for Zanzibar bedding by Kidsline. There are lots to choose from so start soon!!!Good Luck! I hope this helps you.

My wife didn't like pink for our daughter either. So we chose a combination of light green (I think it's called "sage"), and light yellow as a base. It looks very beautiful and modern and is unisex.

Look at this link in potterybarnkids as an example:

green is nice. can add some highlights of white, yellow or even a bit of pink without the pink being too much.

Ohh! I love all creams and ivory with just light pale touches of colors, like creamy yellow!! It's soo soothing, and when you're ready for a change you can mix it up with brighter colors and you're not stuck
