Funny I sould see this question, I was just telling a friend at work that I would be her surrogate mom because she was talking about how she wanted to give her fiance a baby but no longer can (no womb). I was serious! I would do it if she wants me too, for free. Just pay the doctor bills and maybe help me while I am on maturnity leave (while she is on leave too). Other then that I couldn't do it, for friends only! :-)
You can still get one, but it cost a LOT of money and you may need a lawyer, but if it is not the surrogate mother's child AT ALL (not her egg) then there is NOTHING she can do to keep the child, the child would be 100% yours and your parners.

A surrogate mother is a woman who actually "rents" her womb to a couple trying to have a baby. An egg is taken from the would-be mother and fertilized in a dish with her husband's sperm, then it is implanted in the womb of the surrogate who carries it to term and, after delivery, hands the baby over to the couple. Check with your physician and an attourney about this option.

A surrogate mother is a woman who carries a child for another couple, usually by invitro-fertilization. She is usually paid for her time and effort, as well as all of the bills and expenses related to the pregnancy are covered by the couple who's baby it will be. And yes, you can find surrogate mothers still. Couples use them all the time.

A surrogate mother is someone who would carry a child for someone else, either with your/your partners sperm/egg or with her egg and sperm from the male of the couple. There are surrogates out there...good luck finding one...

It's someone that carries a baby for you. Yes, there are a lot of people out there who would be willing to do so for $$. Most people who look for them can't have kids or live an alternative lifestyle.
