has anybody ever had a negative blood test for pregnancy and was pregnant? is it possible?

Yes it happend to me i thought i was pregnant so i went to a local clinic and got a urine and blood test done both of them came back negative, later on that month i took a home test and it was positive i was already 1 month. I had to have been 2 weeks when i went to the clinic for the test too. SO YES IT IS POSSIBLE!

Generally a blood test can detect a pregnancy in a matter of days of conceiving. Generally blood test are pretty accurate. The most accurate pregnancy test you can get. I've never had a false negative on a blood test, but MANY false negatives on a urine test. Never had a false positive on a blood test either.

Not me, but i know someone who has. Actually, they took a home pregnancy urine test and it came out negative, then went to the Dr. and got a blood test and that came out negative. A few days later, they took a blood test again and it was positive. If it is really early in the pregnancy, it may not be detected. But if you (or someone you know) are in fact pregnant and it comes out negative, it could either be too early, or something could be wrong.

I had a blood test for pregnancy one week and it came back negative. I had the same test again the next week and it was positive. When the first test was done it was simply too early for the pregnancy hormones to show themselves.
So, yes, it's possible.

I doubt it. You could have a positive blood test and not pregnant due to an early miscarriage.

It depends on how early you took the test, but more than likely you are probably not pregnant. Just check again in another few weeks!.

I took a test with my second and knew I was and it was negative.And it was a EPT.Then a few weeks later I bought another one and it was postive.

Didn't happen to anyone that I know personally, but I've read stories posted on other message boards, like webmd, about people it happened to.
