Pregnancy & Parenting - 19 July 2006

Here is the situation. Period in June was on the 13th. On birth control pills however sometimes forget nights, and double up the next day. No condoms during sex too. Cycle is usually every 27-28 days, am usually a few days early each month. In July I had mild cramping on July 10, usually an indication that I am going to get it within a few hours. Horrible headaches and eruption of acne. Started to spot on July 12 (Day 29) regular period usually last a good 4 days. This time is started out light and then got a bit heavier for a day and it was done by July 14. Still very headachey and somewhat nauseated. No sore breasts or anything like that but just a tired, weird feeling. Could I have had implantation bleeding? I took a preg test which tested negative.

I am 26 weeks along. I am having a baby boy. I have an at home heart doppler. Today, my son's heartbeat was at 163 twice. It always goes down though. Do you think I should be worried? My ob/gyn is out today so I cannot call them.

My husband I both agree our children will be more close with my family than his. Our children will be watched by my mother more, adn my mother will be around our children more in general.

This is because of several reasons:

1. My mother-in-law has treated me poorly since she met me.

2. My husband doesn't like to be around his mother that much because she is a difficult person.

3. But most of all, women are usually more comfortable with their own mothers and their families watching their children.

My mother-in-law has one child, a son, so she doesn't understand that children usually see their mother's family more than their father's family.

Does anyone else agree or understand what I mean?

I am a nanny for a 4 1/2 year old boy. The problem is, he isn't completly potty trained. he has no ploblem with peeing, but we always have to remind him every couple of hours to go. he won't go on his own. He won't poop in the toilet. He will literally hold it in for a week at a time, scream and cry when we make him sit on the toilet. He says he's not scared, just that he doesn't want to do it. He is horribly stubborn. How can i make him change? Its driving all of us nuts. We've literally tried everything. I've read plenty of articles, books on this issue and nothing works.

My son (almost a year old) wakes from his sleep and goes straight to crying. Wether it's waking in the morning or from his two daily naps... he's always howling. How can I break him from this habit? I've tried letting him cry for a few minutes... placed toys in his crib to keep him occupied when he wakes... I've even stood by his door to catch him as soon as he wakes before he wails to counter the act... but nothing seems to work. Do you have the same problems? Suggestions would be appreciated.

My son (who will be one next week) weighs 25 lbs. 32" tall. I nurse him morning and night (and give milk & water throughout the day). He has his upper and lower 2 front teeth. I know I should break away from the jarred foods... but I'm worried about what he can chew. I think I have a pretty good schedule for him... but am curious to see what other mothers with the same size child feed their children. I should add that both me & my husband are skinny people... so I don't think I'm over feeding my son. He's just a big boy. I would welcome suggestions on finger foods, and how much/oftern you feed them during the day.

I have a 21 day cycle with a 2 week period on average. I am having trouble conceiving a child. I want to change this back to my normal 28 day cycle. What combination of Chinese Herbs & Supplements can I take to help straighten this out and how is the best way to take them? I am no longer on birth control pills as I tried about 4 diff kinds and found these didn't help the situation. I know Dong Quai is one type to use but I don't know what else to combine it with for best results? Any takers?
