It's more than likely canker sores. They are caused from dirty hands. If there is no fever or a rash anywhere on him or a really red throat you should try orajel or something of that sort.He won't eat because they are painful. If he has fever, rash, vomiting or diarrhea then he really needs to see a doctor. Also check and see if there are swollen areas under his jaw and ears.No need to panic.

The juice is making the blisters worse. The acid in juice will only inflame them more. Also, I had a friend that found out he was allergic to vitamin C in large quantities. Also, if you say no more juice, he might try some water instead. I hope he feels better. Good luck.

do you know what the blisters are caused from. i would have him rinse with salt water. anything in your mouth takes longer to heal. i have no idea what bactidol is but it doesn't sound like something you would give a five year old and yogurt has bacteria in it i don't know how that will help. the oralgel is a good idea. he might want to eat if it's not hurting.

They make Orajel Baby for teething infants that works fine on canker sores too. I would be worried, however, that this could be the beginning of hand-food-and-mouth disease or another ailment that requires a doctor's care. Please try to take him to his doctor as soon as possible to eliminate any causes for the blisters that would require medical treatment, and if it is just canker sores, the pediatrician can tell you if there is anything stronger than Orajel Baby that is safe for your son.

I hope he feels better soon!

Blisters in his mouth??? Take his butt to the doctor. There is no excuse for you if you don't. Blisters in the mouth are NOT normal. Bye, are you calling the doc now?

Hello? Acid in juice? If your son is only drinking juice, it is probably making whatever it was worse, could have been caused from the juice in the first place, not to mention really bad for his teeth. My daughter gets sores on her tongue if she eats a lot of sour candy, I have to ration at Halloween and easter.

If they're canker sores or cold sores (I'd call the Dr. to be sure) then Abreva is the best thing to make them fell better and go away fast. It costs a lot, but it's worth it, and it lasts a long time even though it comes in a small tube.

When my daughter was about that age she got blister on her mouth, I took her to the Dr. he told me that she had blisters on her hands too (they were to small to see) They put her on meds to get her better, I would take him to your PCP. Hope he gets to feeling better.

I don't know if it's okay for kids to use, you'd have to read the bottle, but campho phenique works great on mouth sores. you can get it over the counter at walmart or a pharmacy. i think there might be one just for kids.
