My kids are constantly complaning that I gave them bad old fashioned names. What do you think?

Thanks a ton to READZ_ALOT_93!! I used Name vogager and found the kids names they liked! Then we're going to use them for a day or two and see what happens. I'll let you know!!

Bethany- Joella Kayla
Nick- Aiden Greg
Tyler- Zachary Joe
Nigel- Dylan Robert

Bethany and Nigel aren't my exact taste, but they aren't terrible. All the others are great! Ask your children how they would feel to be named a TRULY old fashioned name: Gertrud Henrietta, Albert Clyde, Franklin Larry, and Leroy Benjamin. These are all very old-fashioned names. Let your kids be thankful! If they are still upset, go to Baby Name Voyager (where I went to find the above names.) and have them pick a modern name they like. Call them that for 1 week and see how they feel. There is nothing like the name your parents gave you!

Nigel is a little old-fashioned, but all the others are pretty modern.
- Bethany and Renee are both beautiful names.
- Nicholas is fine, and what about Gavin Rossdale? He's famous today.
- Tyler and Jake are average names as well.
- and Drake is a great name.

I think as they grow up they will be ok with their name. I worked for a family where the kids were allowed to pick their own nicknames. It worked for them. Or perhaps if the child wants to go by his/her middle name. Kids like to have options, like the rest of us.
Older names are coming back in. Before long they may enjoy the individuality of their names and personalities.

Nicolas is spelled wrong
Tyler is ok, but it could be a girl or boy
Nigel is strange for these days

Those are awesome names! They have a cool sound to them. They'll grow up. :)
The boys' names all sound like strong/ action hero types... definitely cool.

yeah...they are sort of old fashioned, but they shouldnt be complaining about their names in the first place. o yeah and congrats on the new baby. **** luck!!!!!!!!!!!
