My son is eight months old (tomorrow) and for the last week or so has been pulling himself up on everything! He stands for a long period of time and gets up fairly easy. Ususally how long from that point do babies normaly start walking?
I think he want to really bad.

My daughter's first birthday is on Tuesday (july 18th), and I am trying to start teaching her how to feed herslef with a bowl and spoon.

Previously I just put her food on the high chair tray so she hasn't really had experience with bowls/plates.

SHE MAKES A BIG MESS!! But I know that's how they learn, right?

My daughter is 3 and feeling left out. We are now expecting and she does not want to be a part of anything. I want to spend some mommy and me time with her. But I do not know what we should do. Should we go to one place, spend a whole day together, or what? Thank You. Also if you have any advise on coping with a 3 year ol, pregnant mommy, and confused daddy please tell me.

My son feeds almost literally all day long, its not so much for food, more for comfort, something to do, and to go to sleep. I've gotten him used to putting him down to sleep before he falls asleep on me, but he's still really dependent on it. I loved breastfeeding, but I'm just over it now because I can never get anything done because he's always "feeding". PLEASE HELP!

I see how baby carriers are handy. You can set the little baby there while you eat, or whatever. It can even be rocked. Okay. But when I see little babies getting hauled around in them by the handle like slop in a bucket, clunking against things and swinging around like the baby's going to fall out, well, I HATE IT. Little babies (age 0-3 mo) like bodily contact and it is so much easier to just hold the baby and not the clunky carrier. Thoughts?

I am considering waxing (rather than shaving) prior to my c-section to avoid the painful "hair growing in my incision 3 days after surgery" feeling.... I experienced that with my first child and it was miserable. Has anyone waxed prior to a c-section? Is there any reason why I shouldn't do it?

I did something really stupid and now I don't know what to do. I'm a flight attendant and I came home from a trip one day and my husband told me he was leaving me because he had found someone else. He moved out. He's been gone about 2 months now, and out of anger I told him I was pregnant, and I'm not. He told his mom and his mom told mine. So now everyone thinks I'm pregnant. What do I do now? How do I get out of this mess without looking bad? I don't want to have to tell everyone that I lied, I just need to know what to say to make them think I'm not pregant anymore. Did I also mention my Uncle is a gynocologist? So, it has to be something believable. Please help me. I know I was wrong.

parents have the right to circumcise their sons, right? it doesn't matter what the son wants, only what the parents want. and this guy REALLY wants his newborn daughter circumcised. (not her clit. just the lips.) so he should have that right as a parent, right?

he said it's partly for religious reasons, partly for aesthetic reasons. (he likes the clean lipless look). doctors told him that it won't benefit her health wise and that it will take away reduce sexual pleasure, but they also said that male circumcision does the same thing. so,,, what's the difference.

the europeans i know are outraged at the thought of this, but i figure americans will be different since you guys have no problem circumcising boys for religious and aesthetic reasons at the risk of giving them extrememly dull sex lives.

oh, and if you are a circumcised male, please don't say "my sex life is great". because you only think it is. you don't know any better. this girl won't know what she's missing either.

I have a son, 5yrs old, and a daughter, 3yrs old. They go to bed fine but in about in hour or so they wake up and want to sleep with me. If I try to put them back in their bed they throw a fit and cry. If they sleep with me they sleep the rest of the night. I have even made sure they stay active so they will sleep all night but no matter how much or how little we do they still wake up and want to sleep with me.
