I just noticed this evening that my 5 1/2 month old has a tooth starting to poke out. I have been feeling his gums a few times a day cuz I figured he was teething and I couldnt feel it this morning. Now Its poking out and I was wondering how long it should take before its all the way out and done.

It usualy takes a couple of weeks for the tooth to come all the way out, but every child is diffrent and may have it all the way out in a matter of days. I figure as long as it stops hurting them, the teeth can take there time.

Every baby is different my daughter was born with 2 bottom teeth. my son however didnt get his first tooth untill he was 6 mos old.It is normal for a tooth to come out then go back in so dont worry on that part.

It depends sometimes it is very quick and sometimes slow. Maybe a day or so. Try rubbing his gum where the tooth is this will help with the discomfort he has.

It took my son about three or so weeks. Each child is different, as is each tooth. Better bring this ? to your doc. :)

Every baby is different, i suggest you talk with your doctor, he can probably give you the best estimate for something like that.
