Pregnancy & Parenting - 12 June 2006

Yesterday at church my friend carelessly showed my where she had cut her hand intentionally, multiple times. Before I realized it, I slapped her face. It wasn't hard, and I've NEVER done anything like that to someone before. I just pictured her becoming a cutter, and it happened. I then got more gentle with her and begged her to never ever cut herself again. While we talked I kept on pulling up her hand and looking at the slashes. It made me scared, and it made me want to cry. But I couldn't talk to her in private, and I had to leave soon after. Now I'm scared that I might have done the wrong thing. I wasn't mad at her, and I think she knew that, but... I'm worried it might be my fault. I haven't been seeing her a lot lately. I don't know what to do. I can't believe I hit her. Now I'm worried. What can I do?

I have a great little kid that I love to death, the problem is that she won't sleep through the night! I've tried letting her cry, holding her, not picking her up, giving her a bottle of milk, giving her a bottle of just water, giving her a bottle of watered down milk....ferberizing has not worked yet. Is she just stubborn, am I doing something wrong? And we've (she and I) been working on this for about 3 months now. Is there a possibility that her day care provider is holding her for naps and that is why she is fussing for bedtime and naps now? I am just past the exhaustion point. I've started to get so out of it that I am taking out my neighbors mailboxes on the way to work in the morning!
I am going to try not going in to her at all, and just letting her cry it out by herself with no contact from me, but that would be too hard! Any advice?

I have an almost 3 week old baby girl, and for the past 7 days, she has been throwing up, once a day. The doctor has done multiple CBCs, and her blood count has been up (given medication to make it go down), down, and now back up. She had a blood culture to check for bacteria, nothing showed. The poor girl has been poked and prodded for a week now, and the stress and worry is starting to get to me!! Has anyone been through anything similar?

I have a 31 day cycle and i normally have my period between the 16th and the 18th. I had unprotected sex for the first time June 2nd, and then a couple more times throughout the next few days. I was lookin on the internet, after freakin out and saw that there was this website that could tell you a guidline to the days that you were ovulating. It said this month that mine were from the 1st of June to the 6th. What are the chances that i could pregnant?

We have been told we can not have any more scans because the hospital feel it not necessary to have any more..

I think this is not right, i feel we have the right to know the Sex of our child.

Just to know how many scans YOU had or any advice you can give....

Is anyone in the later stages of a Mo-Mo twin pregnancy or already gone through it ?

Were you or are you hosptialized for monitoring?
At what point?

Or if you we're not, why not?

Any complications? At what point did you deliver and was it Vaginal or C-Section ?

My wife is prego w/ mo-mo twins (we think) Scan at 6 1/2 weeks show no seperation or membrane between the 2.

Any suggestions... advice or stories ?

He can crawl very very well. He also pulls himself up and gets back down pretty good too! (almost too good!=)). when he is in his walker i notice he walks with his tip toes. when i work with him on his walking, he uses his tip toes even more. since it it summer i usually let him go barefooted. is this normal? do i need to keep walking shoes on him?

Last night my grandparents went to a dance recital for my 3 yr old cousin that was 3 1/2 hours long! Is that ridiculous or what? 3 yrs old in my opinion is too young to be taking dance lessons and even worse that those poor 3 yr olds have to stand up there and dance for 3 1/2 hours. What do you think?
