I had two C-Sections due to both children being breach and one vaginally NO DRUGS. I would do a vaginal birth with no drugs ANY DAY OF THE WEEK. Hands down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've had both, and I'd have to say that c-section was MUCH worse. I had an epidural with my vaginal delivery, and while it helped greatly, I could still feel a little. True, the contractions were excrutiating, but they were short, and once the baby was born, it was all a memory. Going to the bathroom was sort of sore (I tore and needed a few stitches) but that whole scenario was NOTHING compared to having a c-section. It was horrible. I couldn't lie down, I couldn't sit up, I couldn't drive. Taking a deep breath hurt. And forget trying to go to the bathroom (#2) and having to strain a little. I cried. That went on for weeks, whereas the pain from the vaginal delivery lasted minutes. I hope, if I have another child, that I NEVER have to have a c-section again. Plus the restrictions. You can't do this, you can't do that. It stunk!

I want to laugh at all these women I hear of who are afraid of labor, so they actually ASK THEIR DOCTORS to do a c-section. If they ONLY knew what they were getting themselves into.

Well i have had 4 babies vaginally, i never had a c-section. I have herd that a c- section is worse because it is a major surgery. the recovery takes longer. After a vaginal delivery you can get up and stuff right after. It hurts don't get me wrong, but i would pick to have a vaginal delivery over a c-section any day.

I would say a vaginal birth b/c of the pain during labor. I had a c-section and nothing could have been easier.

I had natural child birth, no meds, and it was painful. The pain grew worse over time and then ended the instant my son was born. I am about to have my second baby and will be having a natural birth again, so long as everything goes well.

As for c-section, I have not had one, but I have heard stories from quick healing with no pain, to long healing with lots of pain.

C-sections are a piece of cake. I would not do it any other way. My recovery time was next to nothing. My sister had a baby a couple of months later and delivered naturally. She was in a great deal of pain and had to use sprays where she ripped. I took a mild pain pill for about two days and felt great. The only thing bad about a c-section is the longer hospital stay.

i havent had a child birth yet, soon to be but i would think that vaginal would hurt more depending on if you took medication. with a c-section they numb the area and all you should feel is a tug but if you dont use medication in a vaginal, you feel all the contractions and then you have to push the baby out

While I have never had a c-section, I've had three vaginally. Two with an epidural and one without any drugs. You're up walking around pretty quickly and the recovery time is shorter. Your abs take a long time to heal with a c-section. My last one came to quick to have drugs, but I strongly recommend an epidural!!

I have never had natural labor so can't give any insight there. But, I have had a c-section. The actual procedure, although a little stressful, was virtually painless. Recovery is a different story. I had a lot of pain but they give you good meds for that. They tell you to give it 6 months recovery...I felt good in 2 but then got sick because I tried to do too much too fast. So, I definitely recommend taking the 6 weeks to recoup.

I've never had a C-section. And I didn't think giving birth was that bad. Right after I gave birth my doctor ask if I was ready to do that again and I was like sure, it was no big deal. I thought that it would be much worse.
