This is a complex geo-political question. Many people have criticized our invasion in Iraq (including myself) but can not deny that Saddam was a miserable dictator. However, at the same time, the same group of people has urged the US to enter Darfur, Sudan and other war-stricken countries to help tame the violence. What are the responsibilities and obligations of the US (and other global superpowers) in terms of conflicts and inhumanities in foreign nations? Are we justified to enter other nations, no matter how cruel and inhumane it is??

George Bush's grandfather, the late US senator Prescott Bush, was a director and shareholder of companies that profited from their involvement with the financial backers of Nazi Germany.

The Guardian has obtained confirmation from newly discovered files in the US National Archives that a firm of which Prescott Bush was a director was involved with the financial architects of Nazism.

His business dealings, which continued until his company's assets were seized in 1942 under the Trading with the Enemy Act, has led more than 60 years later to a civil action for damages being brought in Germany against the Bush family by two former slave labourers at Auschwitz and to a hum of pre-election controversy.

and the bottom fifty percent of Americans control twelve percent. Where multinational corporations can fit twelve thousand headquarters in one house in the Cayman Islands, control congress and merge and consolidate wherever possible. Is this globalization? Is this good for Americans? What's happening in America that we seem to be going back to the days of the Robber Barons?

It seems like this race is shaping up to be a referendum on Hillary Clinton (much like 2004 was a referendum on George W. Bush). Even if Guilliani is nominated (and it apperas likely he will be) would conservatives really stay home rather than skip a chance to vote against Hillary Clinton? And isn't Guilliani more likely to resonate with the unaffiliated center?

The politicians in Washington are doing nothing to bring gas prices down. They are letting the gas companies steal from us, American citizens. The gas companies also clam that the oil supplies are going away fast. Well I have to say that we have enough oil in the world to last at least 200 more years at the pace we are going. How do you all, the American Public think about this.
