Tobacco causes cancer. (Marijuana is nothing more than Hispanic slang for Hemp) Hemp can be used industrially for many different uses. You can use it for creating paper which doesn't yellow quickly (unlike wood paper); you can also use it for CLOTHING, or even making ethanol to run your cars! I have even heard of people making fencing and furniture out of it.

Can you do that with tobacco? Nope! Didn't think so!

The better question is legalization of alcohol and the banning of marijuana. Alcohol is way way way worse than anything marijuana could do, yet our government, way back before my time, decided that alcohol was a better bet. Hmmm guess government has been stupid for many many years huh. I mean seriously can anyone ever think of a time someone was killed while driving solely high on weed? If nothing else people would drive way under the speed limit and be less deaths on the highways. Just food for thought.

That little bit that you smoked - probably not going to harm your baby. However it really is not a great Idea, THC does build up in the body and in excess can result in developmental delays, overall inactivity or laziness which can slow weight gain. Marijuana can also decrease milk production. Relax - you made a bad decision, you have certainly learned you lesson and are now away that there are risks associated with marijuana and breastfeeding. No parent is perfect. Don't let all those people telling you that you are a bad parent get to you. You made a poor judgment call, absolutely, however you have learned from it.

Banning tobacco is taking away a persons individual rights, and is not right. Legalizing marijuana puts more money into politicans pockets.

Explain how tobacco is banned when you can buy it in any store?
Explain how marijuana has been legalized, when it can't be sold in any store anywhere?

That won't happen until the Marijuana Lobby spends more than the Tobacco Lobby.

And that's a boat load of money...

I don't know if it is the best logic but I don't understand why marijuana is illegal and no worse than tobacco which is legal.

Both can kill you.

It's because the government can't find a way to regulate it like tobacco and they already make plenty of money off the fines.

I think the government should stay out of my personal life.

Marijuana has a diminishing effect on Staphylococcus Aurea's and has been known to have this effect since the 1970's.When these despicable politicians stop picking other peoples noses then politically postured opinions espoused by 'me too' idiots will decrease.

Being a sufferer of allergies and at one point in my life asthma, I don't like being around the smoke of either. I think both only should be legal for consumption in your own home. I do think marijuana should be available for the terminally ailing.

Standard "feel good logic".

The truth is that tobacco only kills the user (despite all the 2nd-hand smoke myths), whereas marijuana (like other drugs such as alcohol, cocaine, etc) are as likely to kill an innocent bystander as the user.
