I've been stating this for years. I am glad to chime in agreement with you. Party loyalists are destroying the leadership by electing people based on who tells the most convincing lies.
If incumbents were tossed out of office, this would send a strong message that enough is enough. Try convincing the party faithful to do something other than toe the party line. Even if they blindly support their parties, they could at least replace the professional liars that have permeated throughout the representative bodies.

Many people will never be satisfied. They complain whether the complaint is warranted or not. So if they sit on their behinds until election day, never working for a party or attempting to improve candidate choices within a party, or having their voices heard at party caucuses, and let others choose, they deserve the candidates they get. Changes are not always for the better. CT lost some excellent congresspeople for a couple of " do nothing" replacements.

Because not everyone is part of the problem. There are a lot of dunderheads in Congress, but there are a good number of good people also. It's just that the dunderheads are winning and the general public can't tell the difference.

Here's a good place to start:
Ron Paul
Brief Overview of Congressman Paul’s Record:
He has never voted to raise taxes.
He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
He has never taken a government-paid junket.
He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.
He voted against the Patriot Act.
He voted against regulating the Internet.
He voted against the Iraq war.
He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year. (Who else even thinks of doing that!)

I will agree with you completely and will do my best to replace as many "Career Politicians" from Washington I can. However I am limited.
