Why is it ok for “progressives” to justify the tyranny of Hugo Chavez by calling the oppressed lily white?

When did you last hear about a heterosexual pride parade?

And don’t try to tell me that any other culture or race has oppressed or suffered more than another:

It is a historical fact that blacks in Africa kept other blacks as their slaves.
It is also a historical fact that blacks sold other blacks into slavery.
Most cultures at one time in their history have used slaves.


Why can’t we just celebrate the accomplishments of good, creative PEOPLE instead of always making it a race issue?

What gives either side a right to dictate other peoples morality? I heard an interesting statement a while back that led me to think about a lot of different aspects of our government. The Republicans want my porn and the Democrats want my guns. To me it is pretty simple, if you don't porn, don't buy it. Don't like guns don't buy them. You will never keep guns away from criminals so no matter what laws you pass you won't stop violent crime. Don't believe in abortion don't have one. Isn't it pretty simple? I think the our nation would get along a lot better if everyone minded their own business first and stay out of their neighbors.

The following is an interview with a woman who posed as a 15 year old that was pregnant and was coached to say she was older. Planned Parenthood broke the law and their first reaction was to sue and and bring charges against the woman for exposing them.

Let's face it; you have a choice to not go to a place that allows smoking.

I can see not allowing smoking in government buildings or other places that everyone has to use and thus those places should be smoke free.

Why ban places that smokers can go?

First, this is not an attack on liberals, I just dont understand how these two ideas can both be correct.
Ok, most liberals that I talk to believe two ideas that I find incompatable I was wondering if it could be explained to me. First, they believe that Moore was right about Bush having a cozy relationship with the Saudi's. Thats idea one. Yet, they also believe that the war in Iraq is about getting cheap oil for the U.S. If Bush was really in league with the Saudi's, wouldn't he avoid doing something that would give America more oil, that didn't come from Saudi Arabia? Therefore one of those ideas has to be incorrect for the other one to be correct. Please explain to me how both of these ideas can be correct.

I have a job, medical insurance, drive a beemer, walk my dog, pet my cat, listen to rock music, am respectful to my mother, eat with a knife fork and spoon, open doors for people, call people I don't know "Ma'am" and "Sir", say please and thank you, pay my bills, watch TV......
