I was just reading the politics section, and I can't help but notice. The people with the most violent replies are supporting the failed Bush agenda.
Why is that?

Next time, will you find the strength and courage to put country ahead of party, or will you, yet again, feel obligated to support whatever RINO the GOP throws at you?

“It is a sad day in the Senate when we spend hours debating an ad while our young people are dying in Iraq,” Senator Chriss Dodd (Conn.) said. “Now that the Senate has twice voted on this ad, it is time to move on and vote to end the war.”

“What’s disgusting is that the president has more interest in political attacks than developing an exit strategy to get our troops out of Iraq and end this awful war,” said Eli Pariser, the executive director of MoveOn.org’s Political Action Committee.

I'd like to get more involved in this upcoming election. But of course, I don't want to base my opinions off what I hear on mainstream media. What are some good websites? Anything else you would recommend? I will read into both sides, Republican and Democrat.

I ask this because I just read a couple of answers that say that if people knew more about the candidates then we wouldn't be stuck with Bush for these last 4 years.

Well I watch Hardball, O'Reilly, Countdown, Daily Show, Hannity&Colmes, and read a whole heck of alot of news on the internet, especially the far left liberal AP articles via Yahoo! News.

Now what in the world did I miss in 2004 that caused me to make the huge mistake that some youngsters think I made by deciding to re-elect Bush?

This is their way right? If a Chrisitan doesn't conform to their religion they have to kill that human-so why is it Bush wants to free these mentally desturbed humans onto the world

Traditionally the answer to that question in the USA is no ..it does not. Traditionally, we have taken the view in this country that it is better that some criminals go free than to go overboard and violate the rights of citizens. Do you agree with this?
and what about terrorism? should our view be to have zero probability of terrorism as superseding the violating or infringing on citizen rights? Surely if our society were not free, government could perhaps do even more to protect us from terrorists. But is that what we want? Are we willing to accept a certain level that a terrorist could slip by and do some damage in exchange for preserving our rights?

Why did they burn hundreds of thousands of innocent German civilians to death with their incindiary bomb runs at night? Were the democrats just stupid then or did they realize that sometimes in war the end justifies the means.

If you do, how could you think the 6 boys were treated fairly? Do people who say "throw the Jena 6 in prison for life" know the facts? or are they just ignoring them?
I suggest a read:

There's A LOT more to it than some nooses and a retaliation. Nobody is defending the use of violence at all. We're just saying everyone who resorted to violence should be held to the same standard.
