TRUTH ABOUT CONSERVATIVES
The Pro-Life Position Is Born of Compassion
Liberals tend to think that right to life activists are motivated by a desire to control women's bodies or sex lives, and to impose a religious doctrine. Whether you agree with it or not, the heart of the pro-life position is the belief that life begins at conception, and therefore abortion is murder. Liberals who don't share that the foundational assumption have a hard time understanding the passion of pro-life voters. Yet they easily admire the radical abolitionists of the 1860s -- who were as "rabid" and doctrinaire in their opposition to slavery as pro-lifers are today. Liberals should ask themselves, if they honestly believed that life began at conception, wouldn't they do exactly what the pro-life forces do?

Liberals sometimes claim that the anti-abortion movement is actually a religious movement aspiring to impose a particular theology. In fact, the anti-abortion side has tended in recent years to make secular arguments. They offer pictures of fetuses at different gestational ages, not Bible verses. You can say it's ghoulish but that approach - having values shaped by religion but making arguments in non-religious terms - is exactly the way faith should be inserted into the public debates.

Isn't it kind of funny how many republicans hang on every word of Rosie O'Donnell, Jessie Jackson, et al...and democrats seem to know all about Rush Limbaugh and Fox News? I find out everything I need to know about these guys from the people here...did you realize you are a tool of their propogandized machine?

Over the years, each and everytime an issue with blacks and whites come up, it is taken seriously and people pause and discuss their views of the situation.

THEN, Al 'Pantene Pro-V' Sharpton and Jesse 'Hymie Town' Jackson get involved and suddenly things change.

I really wish Sharpton and Jackson could just fade into obscurity.

Honestly, our races would get along MUCH BETTER if they weren't around stirring up so much trouble. We can handle the situations rationally and deal with race relations in a civilized manner better if we didn't have these two phonies making things worst than they already are.

I believe early in their careers they were legitimate and really cared about the issues, now it is all about money and fame.

**This question has little to do with the Jena 6. I am just really sick of Sharpton and Jackson.**

At the same rate that Bush did? Will the GOP demand to know what their OWN party will do to curb these bad habits? Or have they resigned themselves to a democratic victory?

Republicans are against birth control and abortion, so they force people to have the babies, then they refuse to help pay for them. You can't have it both ways, people!

Also, having sick kids running around our country affects us all.

(And don't tell me anything about women keeping their legs closed - it takes two to make a baby.)

I hear people talk about the "mess" - what mess???? Bush has made a mess of IRAQ but certainly not AMERICA.

I sometimes see bumper stickers that read "had enough? vote Democrat" - - - Enough of WHAT? Growth? Low unemployment? Rising incomes?

NO, I HAVE NOT HAD ENOUGH OF THAT!!!!

Darth Vader has many medical problems and relies on mechanical assistance to stay alive. The same is true of Dick Cheney. I sincerely hope that Clinton was not referring to this when she made the comparrison between our Vice President and a science fiction character.

It is simply mean and wrong to make fun of someone because of medical problems or disabilities.

What's your take on this issue?

New York Rep. Peter King, a prominent House Republican, said there are “too many mosques in this country” in a recent interview with Politico.

“There are too many people sympathetic to radical Islam,” King said. “We should be looking at them more carefully and finding out how we can infiltrate them.”

Excuse me Representative King I thought one of my country's bedrock principles was freedom of religion or did they change the law and I missed it?

He claims it his statement was "taken out of context" but I think this video shows it was not

I often hear about protests in Europe bashing Pres Bush or America as a whole- I assume like liberals inside America, the Europeans bash America for the same reasonm the Islamofascists bash us- they hate us because we have freedom, and they don't. Mabey its fear of that which they don't understand, or a true hatred for freedom.

We have brought freedom to Afganistan and Iraq- and rather than ceelbrate this reality, the Europeans burn our flags and slam our country. Europeans have NO understanding of freedom and democracy. America is the world's beacon of freedom- thats why so many foreigners try to move to this country. The British are probrolly the only people who realize america is the beacon of freedom- the rest of Europe are ripped with anger in their jealousy of America. The fact is America is a superior nation to all others, and they can't accept that.......
Why do so many Europeans hate freedom so much?

I know we cant yell "FIRE" in a movie theater, or "BOMB" on a plane, and I definately CANT say "Iwanna kill the next president" without consequences. So are we REALLY free?

That also could apply to abortion, Yes you are free to execute your baby, but THERE WILL BE CONSEQUENCES to your actions, maybe not religious ones, but DEFINATELY psychological ones. I PROMISE

In time of war people need to support our leaders and soldiers- if they don't agree with the war, they need to shut up.
Libs who slam Bush and the troops reveal their deep hatred for this country. Attacking and questioning the President and the troops in wartime should be punsihed with prison time-It is not 'free speech'!
Does anyone think it really is?
Moveo.org, cindy sheean and any liberal scum who spouts anti authoritarian communist propaganda should be arrested.
The problem with freedom in America is we have too MUCH freedom. If redefining freedom of speech will get the liberals, hippies, athiests and feminazis out of my country and in jail where they belong, Im all for it.Here is liberal logic for you- In their communist mind, its okay to spew anti American hate at our soldiers or President- BUT you CAN'T say anything that might *OFFEND* someone who is a homosexual, black or Muslim. God forbid we offend the Muslims!
Why don't liberals realize they abuse freedom of speech?
