In some respects yes, it is a form of voices one's political viewpoint. But I think what happens is after you've been deleted over and over again just because some trigger happy report-monger that you'd tend to post more provocative questions and answers because you figure "hey I am going to get deleted anyways".

Originally on YA, I posted in politics. (Had a different screen name back then) then I moved to the religion section for awhile (that's where I got the most violation notices), and now I hang out in the drinks section the most. :P

Well it's not very civil, but it sparks of disobedience. The long hard climb to the top of levels should be an inspiration for us all. I would sleep better knowing I got to Level 7, but with the 2 steps forward and 3 step back process, I don't seem to be gaining any ground. Maybe my new tack should be agree with every post.... Yes, there is madness in my new plan, but I like it, I like it a lot, therefore, I agree with you wholeheartedly, it's civil disobedience at it's best.

It would only be civil disobedience if some sort of law or rule was being broken. Otherwise, it's just speech. Incidentally, there is no free speech here. Yahoo is a private company, not a government entity, and as such, has the right to police their site as they see fit. Users have the right to accept the limitations YA imposes or not use the service.

If trying to promote the understanding Conservative values, peacefully in this venue is considered civil disobedience, then I have read the wrong constitution.

I don't see how it's a form of civil disobedience. After all, we're not breaking any laws.

It seems to be. I got on here originally to see what the pulse of the people was concerning political views. I didn't find that unless 90% of americans are radical idiots. I don't beleive that. This is mostly just a forum for radicals to spew hate, blame the other party air their pitiful one-sided opinions. I hang around to tell them off mostly.

Some of the comments I have seen lately, does make me wonder. Seems to be a large group of 2 point bandits on the loose!

I just like giving my point of view. I am not looking for friends. This is my way to vent my frustrations with the lack of intelligence that seems to permeate our culture.

It could be considered a form of civil disobediance for those lashing out.

But for the bushies, it's a forum for their Idol-worship.
