I absolutely tune out when Jesse Jackson starts talking about social injustice...he has no clue and uses his position to extort money from corporations for his crackpot schemes..."donate or get picketed".

1.When somone uses racism falsely they should be the first persons to stand up and scream bloodly murder.
Instead they either remain silent, or actually support them until facts prove that racism was not a factor then they quitely sneak away.
2. When a white person is a victim, they as the leaders of civil rights should be the first person there defending the civil rights of that person.
Instead they are never hard from.
They only march when black people are wronged.. making them racists.
3. Al Sharpton has basically been proven a race baitor and has actually caused riots and deaths with his stupidity.
Tawana Brawley
Crown Heights Riots
Freddies Fashion Mart
Duke Lacrosse players
Some great Sharpton quotes from this man of GOD
" “White folks was in caves while we was building empires" -Kean College in 1994
" "We will not stand by and allow them to move this brother so that some white interloper can expand his business."[ - Freddies Fashion Mart 1995 (1 of the protestors in the crowd then walked in the store and killed 3 people and burned it down)
"If the Jews want to get it on, tell them to pin their yarmulkes back and come over to my house"and referring to Jews as "diamond merchants." - Crown Heights riots 1991
(many jews were then beaten in the streets by blacks, at least 2 killed, jewish stores were looted and destroyed)

I believe issues lose credibility because these two men can't see past race. They are quick to point the finger but forget the four other fingers are pointing back at them and what they are saying applies to them. Sharpton and Jackson are outdated - from the old school. They need to step aside and let the younger generation lead. Most of the younger generation have a vision for America, and they feel black and whites can work together. It is people like Jackkson and Sharpton that keep racism raging and we're all tired of it. They need to get out of the spotlight and let peace-makers get in power.

I think issues lose their credibility whenever those guys get involved because they always want to make it a racial issue instead of a moral issue. People's beliefs and morals aren't the same as they were forty or fifty years ago. The level of consciousness has evolved significantly. The American people are tired of being preached to about things that are not relevant to the situation at hand. You can't just play the race card everytime you don't get what you want! I firmly believe if those fellas would stop having public tantrums, they would regain some credibility. Personally, I think the whole things is just embarrassing. In this day and age, Civil Rights affects everyone in some way or another.

Why Obama is turning out to be greater popular, even i like him, in spite of his positions (he's a renowned liberal, i'm no longer) is he looks to are turning out to be previous black sufferer mentality that Jackson and Sharpton sell. I fact won't deny that black people have suffered a gross quantity of injustice and racism, yet once you spot your self as a perpetual sufferer, then that's what you will continuously be. i comprehend that's no longer a suitable analogy, because of the fact i've got no longer suffered everywhere close to to what some black people have, yet while somebody asked if I rather have ever been a sufferer of a organic disaster, I stated no I survived a organic disaster. element is do you're taking the stumbling blocks and suffering on your existence and make some thing greater proper out it, or do you blame your modern subject, and say i'm going to by no skill do greater proper, because of the crap I rather have continued. Obama is a frontrunner. yet he's no longer a black chief, yet a frontrunner for individuals. i do no longer think of i might vote for him, if he's nominated, yet it is in accordance with political place. yet I rather have the utmost appreciate for him as a frontrunner. It does seem we've become previous racism. The advantageous ingredient that has pop out of the Imus controversy is people are questioning black sufferer mentality, that Jackson and Sharpton sell, which basically helps greater racism.

People stop listening when they show up.
I agree that Sharpton & Jackson have nothing to do with Jena 6 either. If they were so bent on insuring people get along, where were they before the kids in Jena got violent?
Oh yeah, Jessie was in the Middle East trying to act important and speak for our president without permission to be a government spokesman.

Al and Jesse are products of the racial divide of the sixties and early seventies. Folks of their generation, black and white, still remember Martin Luther, Jim Crow, Wasps, and so on.
The generations that have come along since the equal rights amendment. Don't remember how the battles were fought.
All we know is that we always got along in school and at work.
There's still work to be done, but not until the old scars are healed.

In the past, Jesse and Al, made FINE LIVINGS spewing and spreading distrust, innuendos with no fact bases, gendered animosity among ALL sides of the race issues, so as to increase their FINANCIAL STRENGTHS !!!
Now that the majority of the masses are awaking, these two and others like them, are being left in the dark shadows of historical bigotry, avarice, and ignorance!!!
There is no place for the likes of these two, the same goes for the K.K.K., !!!
Does the hate and discontent spread by the above mentioned piles of SHI* remind anyone of the hatred maintained by OSAMA BEN LADEN ???
This ol' bird is just looking at the landscape, from a different view.

they never say anything except racism. Honestly I think that whole story is ghastly. I think nooses in a tree is a serious thing. But when Sharpton starts screaming my ears turn off. I only read past him to get the story. IF it had been framed as Sharpton relaying the story I would not have known what happened because I simply refuse to listen to his race baiting.

I agree with you. They try to polarize the issues. I live outside of Philly, and in the last election Jackson showed up with buses an hour before the polls closed trying to round up votes. Then he yelled when poll workers closed the polls, saying that "his" voters were being discriminated against. He was just trying to stir the pot and make headlines, I don't think he really cared one iota about the people he had gathered, or their opinions. He was using them.

In many cases it's because when they screw-up they don't take responsibility for it, although I'd say that's more often true of Sharpton than Jackson.
The other problem is that things are not as clear today as they were back when MLK was marching. It was obvious to all but the most stubborn knuckleheads that there were serious racial problems in America in the 1950s and 1960s. Today's racial problems aren't as obvious so when Jackson addresses them, he meets greater opposition, more willing to dismiss his claims out of hand without considering their validity.
